Firstly, its fast food Cantonese fare....so don't raise your expectation k?Once you've regulated your expectations, their food here is honestly decent. I've tried their Fried Rice which is ok. Prawns are not large but can-spot-with-naked -eye type. I also tried their laksa which is also decent. Gravy is lemak enough and ingredients enough too. Chicken Wings are so-so only, can skip...Not a bad place if you have had enough of Mac/KFC/Burger King for a while... continue reading

This Chinese restaurant is very comfortable and spacious, however it seen like the business was not really that good here.  I decided to buy a simple snack to try since I am waiting for my uncle at the airport to arrive in Singapore.Have bought the char siew pau to try, which is merely $0.90 per piece.  The service uncle over at the counter is quite helpful and polite.  The pau texture is firm and moist, which is quite chewy and is served hot as well. Love the pork char siew meat inside which is very sweet and tasty, the juicy pork meat is very tender and chewy, and goes very well with the pau.  Flavourful and is defnitely a snack which is suitable at all times of the day. continue reading

All the restaurant were crowded during dinner time and I was walking around to find an empty table. I managed to find a place to have dinner at Ruyi. The Ruyi is a fastfood selling Hong Kong style food. I ordered the Braised Beef &Tendon Noodles at $8.90. Although it was fastfood, I still had to wait more than 5 minutes for my order to be called for collection. The Braised Beef &Tendon Noodles Noodles appearance looked very braised in dark soya sauce. The taste of the beef meat was very good. It was very well braised to tenderness and softness, the jelly liked tendon almost melted in mouth. The noodle was a bit disappointing. It tasted like ban mian. It was not springy or crispy and lump together. Overall, the braised beef and tendon were very good but the noodle spoilt the whole dish. continue reading

While waiting for my uncle to alight in singapore airport from thailand, I decided to grab a char siew bao as a snack. This Ruyi outlet is quite big and cosy. The uncle service staff is friendly and helpful. For merely 90 cents per piece, it may look small but the quality of it is really good. The bao texture is soft and firm and moist as well. The char siew meat is very tasty which the pork meat has been roasted till really fragrant and tender. Combination was really good...yummy! continue reading
