The restaurant was very crowded during my visit. It seems like its value for money concept is very popular with the teenagers. They were so busy that I had to wait for a good 10 minutes before someone came to take my order. The only thing that tasted way better than I had expected it to be was the corn, was sweet and fresh! All else were of nothing special.A good place to have a meal though as the place is really big.

Last month, I revisited Saizeriya with my hubby and we made the choice to order the oven baked garlic escargots. There are 6 pieces with every order and I think it costs $5.80. Both of us have never eaten this before so for us first-timers, we thought this was very good. I love the cheese and garlic as I thought it helps to lift the flavour of the escargots. The escargots is chewy to the bite and is quite juicy as well. This is best eaten warm so that the flavours are more pronounced. After this

This place has the cheapest italian food i ever had. The portion is good and the dishes are all value for money. Although the taste is not fantastic but they are decent. I order the carbonara pasta which is huge in serving and only cost me around $8. We share a a serving of Escargots and the whole meal only cost me $10. will definitely visit the restaurant again.

The mushroom soup was quite a letdown since it a little too watered down in my opinion. The mushroom taste isn’t rich enough as well. However, my cousin’s cham chowder was good. Perhaps next time I should just order that. I also tried my cousin’s steak and found the accompanying sauce for the steak to be very nice and goes well with the steak. This is really a good place for Italian food in terms of taste and price

Double Cheese Pizza ($5.80 nett) :: It actually looks good, on the menu itself and when it’s served to us too. But none of us actually likes it. I might be a little picky when it comes to cheese-related food, because I just can’t get enough of cheese. But this, isn’t even a little cheesy. It’s very disappointing, it’s as if they only put the yellow coloring on the pizza. Oh wells. This is the start of the disappointment on the main courses.

Saizeriya Ristorante E Caffé located in Liang Court shopping mall serves really good and cheap pasta. I ordered two bowls of soup, the cream of seafood chowder and minestrone soup. Both bowls of soup cost around $9. The soup is freshly brewed and was warm. The seafood soup had plenty of ingredients such as prawns, squids and fish while the minestrone consisted of tomatoes and potatoes.

There are many branches of this Japanese Italian restaurant all over the world. In fact, the first time in which I tried the food from Saizeriya was in Tokyo. Personally, I love the escargot (as shown in picture) from this restaurant. As for the squid ink pasta, I rate it as average as I have tried better ones before.

Honey Drumlets ($3.90 nett for 4 pieces / $7.70 nett for 8 pieces) :: Our first appetizer of the day (well, we decided to go appetizers first because we were waiting for our friends who were late – it turned out to be a blessing in disguise!) – honey drumlets. Just gotta say that, it’s so good that we ordered even more when the latecomers arrived. So, trust me on this.

Seafood Chowder Soup ($3.40 nett) :: Given the price, it, is, worth it. What’s more, it’s actually above average-tasting. Not a must if you are saving space for some other things.

Oven Baked Garlic Escargots ($5.80 nett for 6 pieces) :: Oh, this is a must. At least for me. The chewy-ness, the garlic flavor, the smell of it being baked. Ohhh, orgasmic! I mean, just look at the picture, we couldn’t resist the temptation and started eating even before pictures were taken. It’s 6 pieces here. Worth it, worth it. Next time I go there, I’ll order the whole 6 pieces for, myself
(well also because it’s so affordable).

Cheese Chicken Fillet ($6.90 nett) :: Again, very appealing, very appetizing, but it’s only very decent tasting. If given a choice, I’d choose this over the pizza though. At least it’s, meat, chicken.

Panna Cotta ($3.90 nett) :: And so we gave up on the main courses. Really, we each ordered a main, plus some for sharing. And none of them made the mark. So we moved on to desserts, which looks REALLY good. And I must say, it sure is better than the main courses. First up, panna cotta. Not really my kind of thing, it seems to be a little too sticky than usual, and tastes a little too sweet.

Truffle Chocolate Ice Cream ($4.80 nett) :: So hands down, legs down, get the truffle chocolate if you’re ready for some AWESOME dessert. It is well worth the price. I’ve never seen this anywhere else, so, it’s definitely worth squeezing down your throat to your stomach after your meal.

In a nutshell, if you’re looking for a place to have lunch / dinner, go to Saizeriya Ristorante for JUST appetizers, then head out to some other place for your main courses. Trust me it’s worth the hassle.

I’ve managed to get hold of the menu – I know I would want to know what they offer before I head down to an outlet. And last I checked, I couldn’t find the menu for Saizeriya anywhere, so here – just for you.

—> Note #1: Generally, the prices for the appetizers are around $4 (nett) or so, and main courses at $5 – $7 (nett).

—> Note #2: You can get free flow of drinks from the drinks bar at $2.80 (nett). If you’re on a budget, just get one and share.

—> Note #3: Iced & warm water is by the side – self-service.

—> Note #4: Payment is at the counter, so you have to grab your receipt to the counter on your way out.

The prices are shockingly low and the food is yummy. I especially like the hamburger steak with egg. Ordered their midwings and wasn't disappointed. However, they could have also included the drumlets to make it more substantial. It's a pity their outlets aren't that accessible, or I'm sure it would be more popular than it is.

The thought of trying to eat snails has always urked me, I mean can you imagine snails going down your throat? I went in there with a couple of my friends on a dare to eat all of them! Sadly, I lost the bet but I must say that they actually taste alright, not slimey at all. At this price, you can't stand a chance to eat escargot. Even though it's okay tasting, eating 4 of them in a row was enough to make me sick of it.

Clam was first serve, there weren’t a lot though, surprise came from first taste, it was full of sea taste, clam was really sweet in seafood, it was an addiction to us, we kept eating it one after one, I tried the broth, quite salty and seafood sweetness. Second dish was escargot, with such low price, we added another escargot as I liked this dish very much. Taste wise, it was marginal acceptable, they over fried the onion till it has burnt taste, if it could take away the onion burnt taste, it was fine.

Margarita pizza was serving with thick base, it was too thick to our liking, very filling though. If the base could be thinner by half, it would be much better. Lamb chop was fine, taste right, fully cooked. Overall, we liked the meal, just add few dollars for each person, we have unlimited soft drinks, coffee and tea. There weren’t a lot of dinner that evening, so we could enjoy our meal slowly.

Hmm. I was quite disappointed with the pizza. It tasted like the frozen pizzas that you just buy at groceries! on second thought, those pizzas you just microwave taste even better coz you can tweak the taste to your liking. The Saizeriya pizza had a slight soapy taste. I dont know if they didn't wash their plate properly or something.

As for the pasta, it was not bad... but it wasn't good either. I wanted my pasta with cheese and chili flakes. But the restaurant didn't have enough for each table. And so, we ended up borrowing from the other table. It wasn't hard to talk to them coz the tables were set so near each other. You could really hear their conversations because they were so close to us...
