I've always thought Sakae Sushi was just an average place to have Japanese food. They have the regular wooden benches next to the belt. The ambience is great and cozy. The space between the table and chair is just right for me to eat comfortably. After an hour I saw the raw sushi is being replaced with a new one. It proved that Sakae Sushi served clean and fresh sushi. It is achieving its goals thumbs up.

The hubby and I went for a random sushi date at Sakae Sushi in Citylink Mall after work one weekday. Each table was provided with a monitor which shows the menu and latest promotions. The potato salad left a deep impression with the hubby. He loved it so much that he commented he will have it again the next time we eat at Sakae Sushi. We also loved the Wagyu Bibinba. The wagyu beef is very juicy and tender, it melts in the mouth.

We had green tea mochi icecream for dessert. If you are a fan of green tea and mochi, it's a must try! Oh, not forgetting the mini tsukudani wakame don. If you don't mind having carbo overload, order this savoury side dish.

This is my sister's favourite restaurant, when she need to eat sushi, this is it! Sakae Sushi We have been to several outlets in Singapore and so far have always been satisfied with their food. We really enjoy having it very single time because the salmon and sushi is always fresh! Sakae Sushi really lives up to its name of serving the best quality food.Always have a great day at Sakae Sushi.

Conveniently located in city link mall, I was craving for some tempura prawn and decided to stop by at Sakae Sushi. I had one hand roll with tempura prawn - the tempura was fried till crispy - with flaky crumbs on the outer side. Do order fried food from the staff instead of taking them off the conveyor belt as it wouldn't be hot and not as tasty. This branch wasn't crowded during tea time, which is a good time to go.

sakae sushi is my staple whenever I crave for Jap food especially sushi... Not sure if I am bias but I think sakaehas the best quality in terms of food and service. All the staff is very attentive and happy to help. The sushi is absolutely divine! Prices are reasonable as well Of all the sushi chains, I have always felt that sakae was above the norm and set the standards. I really love it especially the salmon belly *drool* their grill cod fish is very well done not too over cooked and generous

that’s the thing I like and appreciate about sakae. They always serve generous quantities on top of the good quality food! Give this a try if u is sick of Japanese restaurant with compromised quality or sky high prices. You will not be disappointed! I have tried several Japanese restaurant, high ends and low ends and I always end up back in here. Love it to bits! I think I patronize them on average once a week! Ha-ha...

We had a super late lunch at City Link Mall. Woke up much much later than expected...Chicken sukiyaki. The egg in a separate bowl is for us to dip the chicken slices into it for enjoyment. As I dont like to eat egg raw, I have added in the egg to boil in the pot. Sunshine maki. Its fried prawn wrapped with sushi rice, topped with mango slices and fish roe. Really delicious and the look of it really entices me to have the whole plate for myself. All of you should try it out.

Came here to try their cheap sushi buffet. I suppose what they lack in quality they make up in having abundance. Ouch! I know that sounds harsh, but their sushi is alright tasting and nothing spectacular. The fact that it is a buffet just makes it worth it to stuff your face with all the sushi you can eat and then some. So if you're looking for just that, this is the place to go!

Honestly, the food from Sakae Sushi only tastes average and the service is also not fantastic. However, I believe that the restaurant is kinda popular given the fact that there are many branches and the prices are quite reasonable. There is also a huge variety of food (if you notice there are always new dishes in the menu). Personally, I like to order the salmon side dish (as shown in the second picture) as I think that it is quite value of money. It tastes good and the serving is relatively hug

My and alot people's favourite japanese buffet place. The photos are just one of the many dishes they have because I was too busy snatching and eating the food. Sakae is the cheapest japanese buffet around with both quantity and quality. They gives you choices of 1 red plate (sashimi or other $6.29 dish) and 1 pink plate (sashimi sushi or other $4.29 interesting dish). All the other $2.29 dishes are for you to take!

Came here for lunch on a lazy weekend. Was surprised to find the outlet not as crowded as we expected. Was glad to find that there were vegetarian options available too!

Edible rice paper was used for the vegetarian sushi. It was individually wrapped and contained cucumbers, carrots lettuce and mangoes. It was simple but tasted amazing. 9/10

Vegetable tempura was basically assorted vegetables (which came in a variety) which were covered in flour before being fried. They tasted crisp and went well with soy sauce 8/10

Potato Koroke which is one of the best dishes here. It contained potatoes as well as mixed vegetables. It was very crispy on the outside and left a very distinct taste. This can be compared to hash browns 9.5/10

The tofu here was succulent and was dipped in terriyaki sauce. It was a simple dish that left a lasting impression.

It is nice to find that the restaurants in singapore and finally having a couple of vegetarian options even when it comes to a sushi outlet.

These fried vegetable fritters is one of my favourite choice when I place order at this restaurant. It is really colourful as it includes shredded carrots, sliced egg plants, chopped french beans in it. Even though this dish looks simple, but every individual vegetables which you tried will have their own unique taste. It is really crispy, but even if is a deep fried dish, you will still do not feel so sinful as it is still 'vegetables' after all.

buffet for youth $18.99 ++The okonomiyaki is nice, there are even octopus inside.. whereas the takoyaki is not so nice.. The salmon karake is very nice when eaten hot, as the salmon skin is fried crispily, and the salmon is quite fresh. but when they are cold, the salmon is quite greasy and oily. This red plate of sushi is unagi sushi, and we are quite disappointed with it. or maybe its because we are already very full.

Sudden craving for shashimi so we went to sakae sushi for the fresh salmon and tuna shashimi. The shashimi is really fresh and tasty. And I love their wasabi, tasted fresh and like just processed. We have not cure our craving for shashimi after eating there so we even take away sakae sushi's yu Sheng. Their yu Sheng is a bit expensive but the ingredient given is really in big portion, ESP the shashimi.

The ice cream was served within a few minutes. However, I was utterly disappointed. I found the flavor of green tea way too strong for my liking! it had a very seaweed-fishy taste to it which I detested. It was not exactly sweet either.

Service wise, 8/10. Staff are very attentive and they try to bring your orders to you as soon as possible.

I would probably stick to their famous moshi ice cream
