Signature Dishes
I tried the Sakae Sushi Yusheng on the 7th day of the lunar 1st month as it was everyone’s birthday. The Yusheng comes with thick slice of salmon, red and white carrot. The sauce was sufficient to moist the ingredient. After tossing the Yusheng, there was something chewy and it was jelly fish. The jelly fish was thick. The YuSheng was great as it was moist and good cash flow for the year.

Sakae sushi was very popular among my friends and I a few years back as they had the buffet youth special price and it was very worth it! I came here after so long to have their buffet spread again! I will always spam the salmon sushi/sashimi as it is my ultimate favourite! Another one of my all-time favourite sushi is the octopus sushi! Everyone loves chawanmushi! So far, I have not met anyone who doesn't like them! I love the soft, warm and eggy custard together with ingredients such a shitake mushrooms, shrimp etc. We ordered various other sushis as well and I had an enjoyable sushi buffet feast! I feel that the quality of their sushis are decent and priced reasonably

Sakae Sushi has launched a new menu about 2 months ago so i decided to drop by for a quick lunch to have a look at what is in their menu now. They have introduced quite a number of new items but also kept quite a number of the more popular dishes from their old menu.I ordered a Aburi Sushi Combo ($7.99) and a Saba Nitsuke ($8.99) to satisfy my love for fish. for the Aburi Sushi Combo, I was served with 4 seared sushi consisting of scallop, salmon, tuna and skipjack tuna topped with salmon roe. The skipjack tuna particularly leaves a deep impression on me as it was the thickest and most fishy among the four sushi. For a fish lover like me, i like it but for people who have lighter tastebuds, it might be hard to accept. The Saba Nitsuke features a simmered mackerel in sweet sauce. The sweet sauce makes it very appetising and best paired with a bowl of rice.

Went sakae sushi with my group of friends for a lunch fix when shopping around plaza singapura. Not alot people inside the restaurant on a weekday during lunch time.Good thing is the service is naturally faster and more efficient.I have notice that the chawanmushi tasted slightly different from the previous outlet I have tried, in terms of the eggy taste. But still, it tasted flavourful with those crabmeats, shitake mushrooms and glass noodles. The crabstick fritters are not oily. The salmon sashimi is a must order for sashimi lovers, so fresh and succulent.Th scallop however does not taste so fresh and I only ate one slice of it. The plate of sushis are all eaten by me, sashimi and japanese cooked vinegar rice are just heavenly matched, of course vinegar rice wrapped in nori are nice too.

Fresh and Deliciously rolled makis are a great way to share food with froends or family. Love how the makis are packed with generous fillings of ingredients and this maki has cheese toppings with it!! although the taste of the cheese toppings are not that strong, it adds a slight tinge of flavour to the maki. the dragon roll was also not bad at all and i love the crunchy prawn wrapped in the rice.
