So just the other day I happened to be at Northpoint and was craving kind of badly for Japanese cuisine. Decided to have an awesome dinner at Sakae Sushi. It has been ages since I stepped into Sakae Sushi as there are many other better sushi restaurants around. The prices had increased quite a lot since I last stepped into the restaurant. I didn't want to think about what to order, so my wife and I just took the plates off the conveyor belt. It has been awhile since I visited Sakae Sushi. The menu has changed alot from the old version. There is alot of new items, with a whole page on wagu beef. Plain water used to be free, now it is chargeable at $0.50++ a cup. Meeting up my friends at Northpoint, we decided to eat Japanese food as our dinner. So, we finally picked Sakae Sushi which the price was affordable also the food was considered simple and nice.Our seat just in front of the cashier, we can place our orders through computer by ourselves instead of by waitress. Sakae sushi is always my favourite place to dine for sushis although i heard many reviews that sushi tei and itacho sushi is better. Anyways, I went to sakae sushi for their sushi buffet (around $25 nett) for more than 5 times already and i think it is affordable for students like me. We get to choose 1 red plate, 1 pink plate and unlimited colour plate that has the equivalent price in the menu. This pink plate is the inari sushi with mayo salmon which is very nice.

I like the unagi so much,it is really soft and i like the egg slices on the top too. The mushroom also not bad, soft as usual and juicy. Because of the rice is fried before, it is quite flavourful. The fish egg is my favourite ingredient in this dish.It is so nice.

I have bought a variety of mini sushi from Sakae Sushi for my friend's birtherday celebration in the office. Almong these sushi, my favourite will be the egg omelette, imitation crab meat and japanese cucumber flavours. The egg omelette in it is very soft and smooth, which filled with the light fragrant of it. The crab meat is very fresh and sweet in flavour too. The cucumbers are very crunchy which goes really well with the quality japanese rice used in their sushi.

Went to sakae sushi to eat. A treat from boyfriend's parents. The tea was just hot water with tea bag, nothing much is special here. I didn't try the fish head though, but parents say it is quite dry, but overall ok.The sushi was good as well. But should be eaten in moderation or you will feel too bloated as it is made of glutinous rice if i am not wrong.Salmon were fresh too .

Sakae buffet a nice dinning choice for a big group of friends to seat down and chill together. the service there is good as the people there is fast and speedy. you can order cooked foods, jap noodles, chawamushi and other sushi that is not ready to take. Though the price is afforable and the service is good, however the standard of the food has drop as compared to the past.

Went to sakae sushi for their sushi buffet again as its worth the price. for youth its $18.99 (without tax), which is now more expensive. i could remember last time the price is $13.99 for student. but its still worth it. We get to choose one pink plate, one red plate and unlimited plates of colour plates.

Apart from having the belts sushi at Sakae, i also like to eat their ramen. It was in a generous portion which is the reason why i could not finish the whole bowl haha. I ordered the Kimuchi Ramen with kimchi in it The ramen is not very spicy, like the kimchi soup tastes the meat they served is good as it did not have too much fat in it. As for the noodle, i would say is ok, not too good if wan to compare with ramen restaurant like ajisan, but is still tastes delicious in an overall.

Whenever I think of sushi, I will think of sakae sushi. I love going to their buffet be it lunch time or tea time. However the way they classify their customers seems a little different. For normal buffet places, they have this catergory for student where you flash your student pass and get a discounted price. For sakae sushi, they do not have the student catergory, but they replace it with a youth catergory where the maximum age is 21 to enjoy the discounted price. Guess they wanna be different
