I love the Nasi Bryani served here at Sakunthala's Food Place! The portion is big and the rice is so flavourful. Their chicken is also succulent and tasty and the gravy not too spicy. I would also recommend their cheese and garlic nan which goes very well with their lovely butter chicken. To wash it all down, just order any of their lassi. Guaranteed a satisfying meal.…Read More

During my lunch time, my colleagues and I went to SAKUNTHALAS for lunch. We ordered biriyani, pepper mutton, fish head, Mysore mutton, masala chicken. The mutton tasted very unique, a dish which I have never tasted in any of the restaurants before. The dishes were well presented and the staffs were very polite and friendly. Very good service indeed. All of us enjoyed the meal. We ate to our hearts content. At last we ordered masala tea and mango lassi. The total bill was very reasonable. We would definitely come back here again. A strong recommendation to others out there who want to try the best Indian food. …Read More

On Friday evening, my friend and I met up and we headed to Little India. We were torn between heading to Banana Leaf Apollo or Sakunthala's.Since we usually head to the former, we decided to give the latter a try.BAD DECISION.I ordered the chicken + rice meal which came with Masala Chicken, Rice, Pappadam and some vege whereas my friend ordered 2 chappattis with Fried Chicken.Firstly, the masala chicken that we were given were mostly bones and very little meat.On top of that, it wasn't tasty at all!The masala tasted weird. The vege's served with the rice tasted bad as well and I only had a spoon of it while the rest went to waste
As for the fried chicken, it was probably the worst fried chicken I've ever tried! It was terribly hard and not crispy or tender like how fried chicken usually is.Although we both were famished, it was difficult to stomach the food.It really was bad.And if that isn't bad enough, we paid too much for horrible food. The bill came up to $19.20 (we had ordered a lime juice and iced lemon tea on top of the food).I definitely expected the food to cost way lesser as we wasted at least half of it due to how horrible it was in taste.Definitely not going back again!!!P.S. no pictures taken. food was too horrible to even want to take a picture of it.…Read More
