A delicious treat to my family members and also to celebrate my sister birthday.  This Sakura certainly has various choices of food to choose from.  Restaurant is abit squeezy but is still consider cooling.  Glab many choices of drinks available which make this buffet really worth the price.  Durian, paste is my favourite as is served cold with lots of fresh durian puree inside.  Ben & Jerry Ice cream is also the highlight as all favourite are thick and creamy.  Their pizza is nice and minimum biscuit crust can be found on it but the ingredients are top are still descently good! The cold dishes such as the cold prawns are delicious as they are really fresh.  Pay around $30 per adults. continue reading

Among so many halal buffet restaurants which I have even went to, this Sakura buffet is one of my favourite. There are two items which are must have for me whenever I come here. Their nonya laksa is very tasty, which the laksa gravy is thick and creamy. It is not too spicy and the thick rice noodles are chewy too. Fresh crunchy beansprout and fish cakes are added in it which make it more tasty. Their sashimi are also quite thick in slices and are very fresh and easy to chewy. With these two items on their buffet menu are good enough to satisfy me. Moreover they also served different types of Ben and Jerry ice creams here, which make your money even more worth it.Clearing of plates from your tables are prompt as well and the restaurant is big and cooling. continue reading

We arrived there on saturday evening rather early for the dinner at 5.30pm and there were already a long queue all waiting to go inside for a big feast. Fortunately, we had made a reservation and was given priority to go in first and get to sit in air-con room. Walk-in custiomers had to sit al fresco as the restaurant was full on that day.Special dishes were served on weekend only, for example, whole salmon fish and cold crab claws. The salmon fish is moist and fresh and went well with tartar sauce. The crab claws did not disappoint me because they were sweeter compared to some that i ate at hotel, the claws would be perfect if they were not so salty. This restaurant serves Ben & Jerry Ice-cream and they were as usual, so sedap!I prefer this resturant to the one at downtown east because I find the hygienic level higher. continue reading

For the full review with pictures, visit http://thewulfcam.blogspot.sg/2013/04/sakura-international-buffet-tampines.htmlTo be fair, we arrived quite late at around 8 pm. However, the staff should have had the decency to warn us before we made payment that we would be consuming leftovers and that the food would not be replenished. There was barely anything left. Most items were finished and never refilled. Barely any seafood and cooked dishes. Salad bar, desserts and fruits section were almost empty. For the food quality, it was poor. The sushi's rice tasted ok, but the fillings were sparse and not appetising.Salmon sashimi was ok too, but the rest were not fresh. The tuna had a stale taste even!Seafood were strangely saltish? The mussels weren't fresh, being mushy and saltish.Fried food such as tempura were mostly soft and soggy. The Dim Sum items were dry and bland. The best dish would probably be the Satays, which had a rather tasty sauce! For the price we paid (about S$30++ per person), the food quality and quantity were terrible.Service was poor too, perhaps because they were understaffed. There were spills on the floor and counters, plates were cleared infrequently.Overall, it was a terrible dining experience, and probably the worst buffet I ever had. continue reading

Recently saw a tv advertisment that the sakura international buffet has a new range of seafood buffet. My family members has decided to go for a try. With the normal buffet dishes such as the sushi, sashimi, dim sum, deep fried platter, pizza and many more, the new range of seafood includes the long legged crab, scallops, cray fish, salmon and many more. The long legged crab taste quite fresh and has a soft texture. But it has a salty taste, maybe they have soak the crab in salt water before serving. So I have decided to stop trying the long legged crab after trying just one. As for the cray fish, no seasoning is added and the original taste can be tasted. Freshness is there and it has a soft and chewy texture. The salmon is also worth the try, serve cold and is quite fresh. Overall, I think that the quailty of the food is not as good as the outlet in their clementi outlet. With the increase in prices for their buffet recently, I think that they should improve the quality and flavours of their food. continue reading
