A large group of us went to scholar's hotpot last friday. The venue is big and rather spacious, able to accomodate about 100 of us. Its definitely a good place to book a gathering for large groups. Its a free-flow steamboat buffet style with a BBQ counter as well. There's a wide variety of food and soup bases to choose from, and they replenish the food quite quickly. I especially liked the satay. Weighing the price against the benefits, I would definitely say its worthwhile!

Pretty awesome food for the price range. Lots of meat and drinks available. Will visit it again with my friends and family! The selections were a lot, the portions were big. The waiter helped us start up the hot pot, but then went off and leave us to start the hotpot! There were grilled food offered and we can take as much as we like. They do charge for wastage. So don't waste food!

The food was pretty good for the amount that i paid. The soup base was average. There was not a very big variety though. But I like that there is a kitchen to help us BBQ our food, so that I can enjoy grill food the same time that i have hot pot. The place is clean and pretty well-ventilated (not too stuffy). And the location is very accessible, very convenient for people who do not drive.

Awesome buffet

There was a wide variety of food ranging from pork to crabs but most of the seafood were frozen and they came with ice cubes. Not a problem though since you'll put them in the soup. There was also a variety of soup bases to choose other than the usual chicken and tom yum. The place is also clean and hygienic. Staffs are friendly too! Overall value for money! Will definitely go there again!

I visited Scholars Hotpot just last Friday night with a large group of people. Firstly, the price is really affordable for a hotpot buffet dinner. Also, there is a wide variety of food to choose from, with different types vegetables, meat, and seafood. The different kinds of soup base they offer are all delicious. I was attracted by the low price ($19.80) from the deals from online.This was a steamboat.The choices of food is quite much.There is a complimentary abalone rice from the deals.The rice is not nice because of the sauce,it taste weird and the abalone is also very small. Can see that they are so many ice.

 All of these seafood is ok only,because the freshness already disappear,so it is not so nice.
But what i can say is,the price is really cheap for this steamboat,just they are not fresh.
I'm still prefered fresh food with higher cost.

you can go take the skewers (raw meat) and then ask the kitchen to bbq for you.. the marinade sauce is the same for all, meat is not fresh..

nothing is worth visiting this place..
