I happened to be in the area so stopped by elias mall and da bao dinner home. I looked at their zi char, could not decide what to buy in the end I settled for their hor fun. Their hor fun was pretty good, they were very generous with their gravy. The gravy was very tasty, it was not too salty and had egg mixture in it. The kway teow was very smooth and you have to use spoon to scoop it up or else it slips off the chop sticks. They were very generous with their ingredients. The seafood like prawns and squid were very fresh, gave the gravy some sweetness. There was also a lot of vegetables too, the vegetables were not overcooked and very crunchy. it was pretty good. continue reading

Since my family doesn’t really take well to tom yum, I am only able to satisfy my cravings for tom yum when I am out with my sisters. All of us enjoy tom yum and we will always get tom yum if there is tom yum on the menu. This zi char here has tom yum in its menu which made it our choice of order, in addition to the other dishes like sweet sour pork and kangkong. The tom yum here is quite fiery in its taste and it is not too salty. It is perfect with white rice. The ingredients within the tom yum are also fresh tasting and are not overcooked. Overcooked food usually are tougher to bite and this is not the case here. I will go back anytime for its tom yum, even though I don’t stay near there. continue reading

It was a friday evening, my hubby called me around 6.30pm that he was on the way to pick me up for dinner. When he reached my office at 7pm, i told him that i need to rush out a quotation and asked him to wait for a while. When i completed my job, it was 9pm. Poor Hubby, he was very hungry and I told him why don't we go to Elias Mall to have our dinner. As he was patiently waited for me, i told him that this treat was on me. We ordered a Fried Hor Fun and Hei Zuo. The food is really tasty and cost only 13 dollars. continue reading
