Beautiful humble claypot with assorted veggies served, combination was highly nutritious. Baby Corns, Carrots, Lettuce, Cabbage, Broccoli, Onions, Shrimps and Squids were added in, gray was flavourful enough to accompany plain rice. Prawn was fresh obviously, texture was springy firm. Some may use darkening soy sauce, but it didn’t. Shinny on surface which stir-fried until maximum fragrant, bowl was very appetizing. Taste wise, veggies were milder version and with little ginger aroma. Portion was generous, can served up to two persons. Price at $5.00, it considered worth-while and affordable.

Trio Egg Spinach ($8)
The vegetables is well cooked tastes quite nice.

Overall the food is much improved from the last visit. Maybe because the outlet has changed ownership.

What can one find in Yishun Industrial Area on a wet Sunday night? That is what I am wondering. It turns out there is a coffeeshop under a industrial block. At the coffeeshop, there is a brightly lighted Zi Char stall. The Zi Char stall is currently having a promotion for its set meal called 3+1 with priced at $29.80, $39.80 and $43.80. Father orders the $43.80 set which consists of a Red Grouper Steamboat, Specialty Dry Crab, Shark's Fin, and Dried Shrimp French Bean. Father asks the staff to s

Father asks the staff to serve sliced chillis and is served chopped chilli padi twice despite repeating our requests. (Shake head) Wet tissues and peanuts are also served. As those are chargeable, we request that to be taken off.

The sliced red grouper looks not bad. The yam pieces in the steamboat taste quite soft, but I somehow feel the soup base is not flavourful enough.

Mom has the Shark's Fin Soup replaced with Claypot Beancurd. The sauce covering the beancurd is too gluey and lacking of flavours.

As for the Specialty Dry Crab, we decide to replace the spicy flavour with Salted Egg Yolk with a $2 topup. We are surprised by such a small serving. The crab is cooked till very dry. There is no sauce at all. The crabmeat tastes quite dry like chicken meat.
I never thought crabmeat can taste like that.

At the end of the meal, we are served a plate of cut watermelon with toothpicks on. Total damages with 4 plates of plain rice, the meal costs $48.20. Overall it is a very disappointing meal. No wonder need promotion to attract customers.
