My family and I used to patronise the place very frequently, as we enjoy their mango fish & chicken wings. But lately, food standard has drop drastically. Mango fish served with few strips of mango, veggie is oily, hot plate tofu are served without hot plate, fried egg are burnt... Count your luck that the chef is in a better mood if you ever want to visit the place. continue reading

The reason I was at Tampines was to meet up my cousin. He brought me here and guaranteed the food quality even it was just a hawker stall. Stir-fried Mee with Squids, Shrimps, Pork Slices, Mushrooms and Veggies, it utilized thicker version of noodles. It was well-cooked and all flavours of the ingredients fully absorbed by the springy noodles. Shredded cabbage was fried until soft yet little bit crunchy, seafood were fresh too. The good use of black vinegar, it tasted lightly sour in basic. The portion was satisfied enough for one person definitely, it was only $5.00. continue reading

We finally got a chance to try this Zhi Char stall as we arrived around lunch time. We are normally at Tampinese Round Market for breakfast which this stall is not ready. As most of the stalls here is starting to closed after the breakfast crowd it was a good opportunities to order some of the cooked dishes. We ordered "Kou Ji" Soup which is good for the eye, Coffee Pork Ribs, and Yam Rings. The services was fast and not long the dishes came piping hot.The soup came with minced pork, & egg flowers. The broth was tasty and each of us could have 2 small bowls each. It only cost $5 a bowl. The Coffee Pork Ribs was actually pieces of boneless pork chop which was easier for my elderly dad to eat and the coffee sauce coating it was yummy. It is prices at $2 a pieces and the plate cost us $10. The Yam Ring was $12, it has the usual Green Pepper, Prawns and Cashew nuts but you can also opt for a fruit version of the yam Ring. The Yam Ring has a light batter and soft and smooth when you bite into the yam. continue reading

I ordered takeaway for sweet and sour pork chop rice from Shen Li Restaurant which costs around $4. The rice serving was huge while the meat serving was average. The meat tasted great as it was well marinated with the sauce and smelt fragrant. I enjoyed the meal overall and will patronize it again. continue reading

This stall serves very good 5 stars restaurant dishes at a good price tag.The coffee pork at $2 per piece is so tasty that even my 10 years old daughter request for this dish whenever we come here. The scallop winter melon soup is also another must order as they boiled the soup with generous amount of dry scallops and winter melon which brings out the flavour and nice fragrance,This stall is situated at the central of this very big round market so seatings are not a problem as in the evening many stalls are not open. continue reading
