Otherwise, the noodles on its own tend to be a bit tasteless. As for the gyoza, the quality was a bit uneven because those which were not burnt on the outside managed to keep the filling juicy while those which were burnt made the filling dry up. Some of the kushiyaki options were not available when I was there so I settled for the pork and chicken wing versions. The pork kushiyaki was well-seasoned and nicely grilled but the chicken wing version felt a bit bland on the inside.

Tsukemen with salt soup dip & Mushroom hotplate
The noodle is very springy...I liked! The char siew topping were well marinated and tasted good as well. The Salt soup dip has a hard boil egg perfectly cooked with runny yolk...thumbs up!

The Mushroom hotplate appetizer was not bad, the assorted mushrooms were very fresh.

Service here was warm and welcoming. I will return again to try other dishes.

Shin-Sapporo Ramen has quite a few promotions going on: If you dine in before 11.30am, you'll get 30% off the total bill. And if you are paying with citibank, you'll get a $10 voucher for your next visit. Shin-Sapporo Gyoza (pork)/ 5 pieces ($5.80) is their signature side dish that goes very well with ramen. Hakata Kara-Tonkotsu Ramen ($14.80) is a mildly spicy version of the Tonkotsu Ramen. There's an intriguing balance of the delectable rich broth and spice. Very comforting and tasty!

Shio Ramen ($13.80) contains Japanese sea salt and is well known for its light and clear soup. Topped with various ingredients such as vegetables, seaweed, bamboo shoots, tender yakibuta and egg, it's definitely a good choice for those who prefer a light meal.

Really good ramen! We had spicy miso ramen and fried shrimp gyozas. The ramen was springy and had excellent texture and length. Not too thin, not too thick. The soup was intensely rich and extremely flavourful. You just can't stop spooning spoon after spoon into your mouth. The spicyness as just right. The meat was only 2 slices and rather thinly sliced, which was a bummer. But they were really tasty as well. You don't feel sick or overly thirsty after the bowl of soup and noodles - obviously not

You don't feel sick or overly thirsty after the bowl of soup and noodles - obviously not too salty.

We felt so warm and calm and relaxed after a bowl of this ramen!

The shrimp gyozas were great too. Right thickness of skin and ample filling. To be eaten with vinegar and chilli oil - no soy sauce. Excellent as that meant no sodium overdose!

Water and green tea are free flow hot or cold. If you request hot, it is scalding burning crazy hot. Takes forever to cool down. As the plastic cups had no handles, it is impossible to pick up the super hot cup of green tea till about 20 minutes later.

The service was very polite, courteous, prompt, attentive and efficient. Very well mannered and friendly staff. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no one there, so the waitstaff were not harried, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Surprisingly it is a very small place and only seats about 20 people. Small and cosy.

Highly recommend this place! It'll be great if they had more promotions or a frequent diner program!
