Signature Dishes
I have tried their Curry Chicken as well as Asam Fish and i enjoyed it. I decided to have their Biscuit Chicken Cutlet set this time. Such a set is at $5.50 inclusive of rice. It was delivered by the friendly Auntie to my table in about 5 minutes. The color did not look too appealing as it was a little too dark. Seemingly, the chicken cutlet was not fried as a whole piece. I suspected it might have already pre-fried and upon order, it was cut into smaller slices and re-fried it again. They might wanted to serve it hot and to give it the crispiness required but it is definitely not a good idea to slice it up as it would likely to compromise on its texture during the cooking process. There was not even a bit of juiciness to talk about. It was just dry and tough. It did not have a particular taste on its own. The saving grace is that small bowl of curry sauce given along with the rice. I wish the portion of curry sauce would be slightly generous so i could at least have it with rice too. The texture of rice was slightly soggy. Though i never like to waste foods but i still left them unfinished. I guess the owner of the stall should not served something that they would not eat. And, it is highly unlikely they did not know the chicken cutlet was over-fried as it is not difficult to tell from its color and texture. I would go for their Curry Chicken and Asam Fish but would definitely stay away from their Chicken Cutlet. On a side note, the Western Food stall in the same Coffee Shop served rather nice Fried Chicken Cutlet but their standard is not too consistent.
