Chanced upon this bread shop and was attracted to the fact that they have quite a big number dining inside. Which means it must be good. I went in and ordered a roasted chicken sandwich. Had the roast beef sandwich and french toast, along with the cinnamon buns which were all quite tasty, especially the sticky cinnamon buns. A simple place for simple bread, I didn't find it overly pricey as well. Of course, if you think you can bake your own bread at home and make french toast, go ahead! For the more detailed review check out my food blog:http://sethlui.com/food-review-simply-bread-cluny-court/

My friend treated myself and a group of friends to some sticky buns from Simply Bread the other day. The buns were soft and fluffy and coated with a thick layer cinnamon flavoured syrup. This buns really reminded me of the cinnamon rolls my mum would buy for me when I was young. The buns were not too sweet and served as a very yummy afternoon snack.

I've been to Simply Bread only once, at their Sixth Avenue branch, and I remember their bread being really fresh and tasty and the atmosphere really suitable for brunch. I was initially quite disappointed that we didn't go to their other branch instead but the Beef Sandwich (i don't remember the exact name, there are two beef sandwiches, this is the one that has some "rare" beef in it) saved the day!! Look at the photo - generous amounts of good quality beef in a sandwich. Pretty pricy (about $10) but quite worth it as I rarely come across such good quality meat in a sandwich. The beef reminded me of beef jerky which I used to eat in US. Yum
Btw that's just half of the sandwich (shared with a friend). Coffee was decent, and it was a quiet/ empty enough place to chill out with my friends on a Sunday afternoon. If you want fresh bread, go to the other branch. Otherwise, this place is good for chilling and their sandwiches. Recommended!

Simply Bread has a special place in my heart. I love the decor, the food and love chilling out at their charming cafe. One only need to smell their freshly baked bread to feel revitalised. I have always been a great fan of their sticky bun and am sure it will up the satisfaction quotient for any day. Indeed, the bun was sweet but not overtly so. The stickness really lives up to the bun's name. We love the generous amount of cinnamon and it went extremely well with a cup of hot tea. Indeed

Indeed, most tables in Simply Bread has at least an order of their signature sticky bun. We also had their new filled rolls with just bacon and eggs. I was completely sold by the clean and fresh taste of the simple rolls. Simply Bread never fails to deliver! Yay!

Not too long ago, I headed to Simply Bread at Cluny Court for (what else but) sandwiches. Of course, with a name like that, bread takes centre stage here. There’s a good variety ranging from sourdough granary to rye walnut. If you don’t want to buy a whole loaf home, just take a seat, order a sandwich from the menu and choose whichever bread you like from the display counter.

Smoked salmon would always be my first choice but sadly, that’s not on the menu. So it was tuna salad on sourdough rye ($8.50) instead. I wanted it toasted but the staff advised against it as it’s freshly baked bread meant to be eaten as it is. Basically, this was just water-packed tuna mixed with a little mayonnaise—something I can easily make at home. The sourdough rye, on the other hand, was lovely! Soft and subtly sour with an earthy rye flavour.

The smoked ham and mature cheddar cheese on ciabatta ($9) looked good too! Initially, rustic white was chosen but the staff suggested ciabatta instead as ham+cheese+ciabatta is an ideal match. It’s great that recommendations are so forthcoming so that diners can better appreciate the beauty of bread and sandwiches!

Though the bread is good, it’s going to be a long while before I’ll go back again as I much prefer the bread from Barcook and Cedele. And FYI, to date, my favourite sandwich bakery is still Freshly Baked cuz they make a really mean smoked salmon with tomato confit sandwich that’s out of this world!
