Skinny pizza is famous for it's thin and crispy crust. However, by my definition, this is not a pizza. If it is, it is an extremely poorly executed pizza. That said, I do find their pizzas pretty tasty and the combination of ingredients unique. I like those pizzas with Asian twist which I think can't be found in many pizzerias. For CNY, they released a 5 spiced pizza! It was yummy. I think that their sides such as truffle fries are pretty overpriced.

Service is okay. I think it's ridiculous how they charge 50 cents for water. 10% discount if you're a True Fitness member!

Something different from Pizza Hut. I always like my pizza skinny! The crispy thin crust with the savory topping was simply the best.Their Mozzarella Pizza was a must try! The soft and melting mozzarella counter the slightly sour tomato meat sauce. With the help peppery rocket leaves, they created a beautiful melody in my mouth. LOVE IT.Meatball Napolitana was not as good as what I thought it will be. The meatball was dry and the sauce failed to work together.

Love the thin fries with the truffle smell... it's nice!

So overall recommended, but don't order the cod pizza one, sorry i forgot the actual name.

While looking through the menu, I saw something interesting & decided to give it a try & it's called Pizza Pop in Vietnamese Coconut Poached Chicken! But how does it works? Watch the video below!

You're supposed to break the pizza & all the toppings will drop into the "hole". It's kind of interesting but I still prefer the standard pizza. The crust is even thinner than the usual pizza, but it turns soggy once it soak up the sauce from the topping. The crust is also kind of powdery too. Topping is nice as the chicken is very tender; sauce is slightly sour & spicy; and it's without cheese. Yes, because I don't eat cheese if given a choice.

really loved the crispy crusty pizza (: (: yummy!! oh btw, if you're hungry, be prepared that you have to wait 20min for the pizza!

all the pizzas came with a paper-thin base that was airy and beautifully crisp. you could hardly hold it with your fingers cos the crust just broke to pieces really easily. the first pizza we ordered was the meatball napolitana ($23), which consisted of jumbo juicy beef meatballs atop a bed of sweated onion, herbs, spices and parmesan cheese, with a yummy neapolitan-style tomato sauce. the beef balls were pretty juicy and although i felt that it could have been covered with more sauce, i guess its cos the paper-thin crust probably couldnt take the sogginess! haha (: the lack of sauce was perfectly justified by the crispness of the crust.

the smoked turkey swiss ($25) was a really interesting combination of smoked turkey ham, emmental cheese and blueberry compote (: i loved how the blueberry added a different perspective to the dish, a sour-sweetness that brought out the flavours of the turkey ham beautifully (: together with the rocket leaves, this made the dish a refreshing one!

the macadamia roasted pumpkin ($18) was my favourite pizza of the day and it was a vegetarian pizza! omgosh surprise surprise! haha. the pumpkins were slightly crispy with some mushiness, and the roast gave it a smoky-ish taste that was so yummy (: and i LOVEDDDDDDD the macadamia nuts! omgosh so yummy (: it was sprinkled with a generous amount of parmesan cheese too. so delicious! there was supposed to be french goat's cheese but we didn't want it haha.

on to desserts! they had a whole menu dedicated to desserts, and mind you, the pictures were gorgeous xD all the chocolate goodies sounded really appealing!! although we were quite full already (thankfully the thin crust of the pizza left us some space for dessert), we couldn't resist ordering dessert. the chai chocolate cake ($9.50/slice) was a really interesting chocolate cake infused with an earthy aroma of marsala tea. i loved how the leafy taste gave a twist to this otherwise typical chocolate cake (:

the warm chocolate toffee cake ($9.50/slice) was a hit - the fact that it was wolfed down greedily within 3 minutes is testament to that! the outside was covered with a generous smooth layer of warm chocolate toffee fudge, and the cake inside was heart-meltingly warm and delicious with layers of toffee fudge in between too (: OH SO YUMMY!

although the pizzas and desserts here are really pricey (especially when you think of how THIN the crust is?!), i wouldn't mind coming here again because i felt that the quality of the food was great!

The menu mainly focus on various flavors of pizzas, classic and asian fusion. For those who don't fancy pizza, fret not, there are several kinds of pastas and main courses available too. They have an interesting range of sides on offer, such as prawn w/ cauliflower couscous, sweet potato nibblets etc. Plus a separate menu just for desserts, the exact same one as House @Dempsey restaurant (both under the Spa Espirit group).

I ordered one of their new Mocktails, Passion chocolate cookie fizz $6++. The slice of grapefruit that came with the drink was limp and soft, it wasn't fresh. However, it provided the sweet and fizzy soda with a perfect tang that perks up the drink. It was surprising good!

For main course I had the Black pepper king prawn linguine $25++. The pasta came with 2 huge king prawns topped with luscious caviar and salmon roe. The grilled king prawns were fresh and succulent but were a little overcooked at the sides. Linguine was done al dente, very springy and tasted delicious with the thick and spicy black pepper sauce..yums.

I ordered a 1/4 meter long pork sausage $6++ as a side dish. The sausage tasted good but was a tad salty. I ate it together with the rocket leaves to balance out the saltiness.

I deliberately saved some space for one last dish, the dessert. I picked their signature Bitter chocolate tart $7.50++ to complete my meal. The dark chocolate tart was wonderfully rich and smooth with a well balanced bitter-sweet taste. The crust wasn't crunchy anymore but was still crumbly and flavorful. A fabulous end to my dinner.

The service level here was ok, some newer staffs are not well versed with the items on the menus. They are however polite and prompt to attend to our needs. The ambiance here was great, cheery and cozy. Food was of good quality and priced reasonably. I will definitely be back.

We took their set lunch special for 45 bucks. you get to choose 1 pizza, 1 main , 1 side dish and 2 drinks which i think is super value for money for us ( cos the food can serve 3 pax lo). to make it super value for money, we ordered their super expensive items in the menu hahaha. anyway, this is what we had.

the elegant black pepper prawn linguine - 25 bucks
smoke turkey swiss - 25 bucks
truffle fries - 7 bucks
drinks - approx 10 bucks??

in total, the food we ordered is worth more than 45 bucks muahahaha.

My friends ordered this black pepper prawn pasta, I tried it and felt that the black pepper together with the prawn meat is nice. The prawn was big and fresh. It was slightly too oily though, at towards the end, it was really oily at the bottom of the plate.

The photo looks nice uh?
But it's not the case in actual. It's just topped with lots of vege and HUGE chuck of tomato slices. Really, the tomato are so thick! And there are very little pieces of bacon.
All in all, I find the pizza very disappointing. They are only generous with the cheap ingredients like tomato and vegetables, and stingy with the bacon pieces and mushroom. Very disappointing indeed.

For the crust, they did live up to their reputation.
Their crust was thin and crispy indeed, but they do taste a little like crackers, so I thought there was nothing special about it

There were lots of people queuing at about 7pm. So that means people don't mind queuing up for such pizzas. Personally, I don't really enjoyed the pizza and I guess I will not come back again, since there was nothing much. I might come back unless there's a friends gathering or something. Then again, this whole place was so noisy, not suitable for gatherings either.

For price wise, I dont think $25 is very worth it. With the thin crust, what we look for is the ingredients but like it've mentioned before, they are not generous with it, and thus there's nothing else special about the pizza. Thou the thin crust is nice and crunchyyy, but i guess i still prefer the ordinary pizza

All in all, you can come and try out their famous squid ink pasta! I didn't try their pasta so I can't say anything much about it!

Ambience wise,I think i've mentioned that the whole place is a little too noisy and it's not relaxing at all, haha. Alright, probably the business was good so the waiters were like rushing everywhere in the restaurant. Thus do not expect a peaceful restaurant. I personally didn't like the ambience there though.

Thanks for reading!

At first we were thinking where the cod fish were as there weren’t any traces of fish on the pizza. After tasting it, we realised the fish was grated to mix with the sauce spread throughout the pizza surface. xD
There is quite a heavy taste of herbs. Most of my guy friends felt that the taste was quite weird due to the herbs mixed into the sauce.
While me and girlfriends thought that it’s quite tasty ;D
It’s a taste that I have not tasted before and it’s quite unique. It’s mainly fish and herbs, a healthier choice.(:

The English breakfast pizza has bacon, egg and mushrooms. The amount of bacon isn’t a lot.
Comparing both flavours of pizzas, I would prefer the cod fish pizza.

For both pizzas, I like it that the pizza skin and crust are really thin and crispy.
It’s like biscuit instead of what we normally get at pizza outlets like pizza hut etc.

There isn’t much special for the sauage. The truffle fries do have the taste of truffles.
As for the prawns, its fresh and sweet

I didn’t try the cheese but my friends commented that it’s nice.

The dishes are shared among 7 of us and each of us paid around $14.
Personally I felt the portion isn’t worth the money since I’m not much of a lover of Italian food.
But looking at how enjoyed some friends are, I guess it’s worth giving it a try if you are in for Italian cuisine?(:

For price wise, I dont think $25 is very worth it. With the thin crust, what we look for is the ingredients but like it've mentioned before, they are not generous with it, and thus there's nothing else special about the pizza. Thou the thin crust is nice and crunchyyy, but i guess i still prefer the ordinary pizza

All in all, you can come and try out their famous squid ink pasta! I didn't try their pasta so I can't say anything much about it!

The Place: Skinny was buzzing with activity when two of us dropped by about 1:30pm on a midweek. We were given the 2nd last empty table left. The Place: Skinny was buzzing with activity when two of us dropped by about 1:30pm on a midweek. We were given the 2nd last empty table left. Square tables were spaced as close together as a fast food outlet, and we sat on the most uncomfortable chairs there ever was. If you have long arms you're likely to knock elbows with the customer seated next to you. Even if you speak in hushed tones your neighbor will hear every word you say. Obviously eat and be gone type of place.

The Prices: Pizzas were priced comparably with Italian restaurants in five star hotels. Think Pontini, Prego, Pete's Place. We ordered two pizzas for two of us. But the pizza is best eaten as an appetizer or a snack on hindsight. For a proper meal go for the pasta or sausage. Ordering a pizza per head leaves one peckish after 3 or 4 hours max.

The Service: Servers take your orders in a business like fashion and after serving your pizza and cutting it into quarters at the table, you aren't likely to hear from them again. We spied a server dusting the crumbs off the paper placemat on a nearby table after the guests had left and arranged new sets of cutlery on the table. The two drinks we ordered arrived without straws and when I requested them only one was given. Water was never topped up unless you asked, and we had to ask two servers before the glasees were eventually done. When we requested extra paper napkins and a change of our soiled plates, the server pretended not to hear. A lady seated next to us was kind enough to offer us a pack of tissues for us to clean our fingers and wipe the squid ink off our plates.

The food: A friend who had visited Skinny's Raffles City outlet had advised us not to order the bolognese pizza, so we picked their two other signature items Squid Ink Pizza and Ginger Butter Chicken Pizza. Imagine a 9" table water cracker with toppings. We liked the crispy crunchy crust. The Ginger Butter Chicken had no taste of ginger whatsoever and reminded us of Indian masala curry. The biggest letdown was the Squid Ink Pizza. It looked like a pizza that Scrooge had made. Not a pizza made with love as the rocket leaves were almost wilting and cheap ingredients like onions and diced tomatoes are sparsely used even though it was closing time. The squid rings were a little chewy ie slightly overcooked.

The Verdict: My lunchmate and I would have 2nd thoughts even if our next visit was on the house.
