We were at Skinny Pizza to celebrate a colleague’s farewell. The pizzas were light thanks to the flaky crispy bases which made it so much less filling compared to the traditional dough-filled bases.Smoked Turkey Pizza ($28++)Laced with thin slices of smoked turkey topped with rocket salad, onions, cheese and blueberry jam, this is definitely a ladies’ killer. The blueberry jam complemented the pizza well and added a touch of festivity.Cod Fish Pizza ($26++)This was a let-down – where’s the cod fish?! It tasted more like potato puree with egg and spices.Overall, I found the prices to be too steep for the quality and portion. It’s probably only worthwhile to visit whenever they have the 1-for-1 promo credit card promotion. continue reading

Food was good - love the truffle fries and ham & cheese pizza. Spent about $60 for two persons. Portion was just nice for two. Ordered 1 pizza and 3 sides ($18 promo) and a drink. Ambience was unique and the place was pretty clean. Service at this outlet soso only - typical cafe standard which was good enough for me! Will be back for more esp to try the bacon aglio oilo and the "american burger" (cant rememeber exact name on menu). continue reading

After collecting our vouchers from OpenRice, we head over to Skinny Pizza at Wheelock Place for dinner. Sam, Angela & Ivy are already there waiting for us. As usual, we ordered a total of the "3 for $18" side dish for sharing, which includes Harrisa Prawns, Truffle Fries, Sweet Potato Nibbles, 1/4m Beef Sausage, 1/4m Chicken Sausage & 1/4m Pork Sausage.Apart from the usual Squid Ink pizza, they girls also share the Chicken Satay Pizza. This is quite nice & the sauce is full of flavor. However, couldn't really find much servings of the chicken. Would be good if they serve it with shredded chicken instead of mince chickenWhile the girls share 2 pizza, I opt for the Pizza pop again! This time, I had the all-time favorite Squid Ink pizza pop! continue reading

In discussion about where to have our lunch, my friend suggested Skinny Pizza. Without objection, we bind the idea. It was a reverse concept of traditional thick doughy pizza, but a cracking bite. In addition, their service was attentive. With a marvelous light crisp base, it was topped by freshly green Veggies, smoky Bacon and Sunny Side Up. Not as simple as you think, in fact the combination was perfectly executed. What a satisfying pizza, it was crunchy and healthy. Always best eaten while it hot and still crispy, we had our precious pizza just in time. $24.00 for such a huge piece, the price was worth for me. continue reading

Skinny Pizza is a place I've always wanted to try but it always slipped my mind til now! I headed down to have a meal there with a friend. We ordered the Squid Ink Pizza ($26) and ordered another 3 side dishes to share: Truffle fries, brie cheese and grilled prawns (3 side dishes for $18)For the side dishes, the one that appealed to me most would be truffle fries! The fries were rich with the taste of truffle oil and Skinny Pizza was very generous with the serving of truffle oil! Brie cheese was a delight as well although the portion was a little small for the price. The grilled prawns were decent but my focus was entirely on the truffle fries! The squid ink pizza was delicious! Although a bit high prise wise, the taste and portion of toppings is excellent! THe crust and base of the pizza was crispy and stained black with squid ink. The toppings were of a good mixL Vegetables, prawns and many many squid rings! Sadly there wasn't any of my favourite cheese but the toppings more than made up for it! All in all a good meal! We went in the evening and surprisingly there wasn't much of a crowd, so head down on weeknights if you can! continue reading
