At a reasonable price of $3.50, one get to enjoy a plate of moist, cook to order fried kway teow showered with fresh cockles. Just like the traditional style of having Fried Kway Teow, pork lard was added to gave additional fragrance. Other than that, fishcakes, beansprouts, eggs, vegetables, chinese sausages and prawn were what sum up this tasty plate. For those who like over-dosage of sweet black sauce, I'm afraid that their input of sauce was just on the average, not too sweet and not too bland.

While most of us know that a plate of tasty Char Kway Teow requires the blood of cockles to give a good punch to the dish, I must say that Teo Soon Heng's Kway Teow did fit the criteria, however I find that there was still something missing from the dish. It lacked of additional fragrant which was perhaps the type of oil they use.

Nevertheless, they are still worth the calories and I don't mind patronizing again.

So today I had my lunch a plate of fried kway teow and the goreng pisang stall is not open. Not sure of the opening hours.

Ordered a $3 plate (or $3.50) and came very fast. A reasonable portion for me and they have minimal of vegetables, eggs, cockles and fishcakes. I probably should have told them I don't want cockles since I don't take but just slip out of my mind. So there are different sizes of cockles and of course not to waste, I had a few small ones for a virgin try. Don't really like the taste. As for the overall taste, it's good. The taste of kway teow is savoury, sweet and smooth texture. It smells good too when serving up. They probably had a good control of the heat while cooking. What's more important is the colour. The darker the better.

Cempedak is in the season again! I am a big fan of this seasonal fruit. I went hunting for fried cempedak when i was in the food centre after work. I managed to find it at this stall. It is priced at $1.00. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. Cempedak was coated lightly with a layer of batter and fried it to perfection. It has got a nice crispy layer. When you bit into the fruit, you can taste the sweetness of it. This is one of the most perfect combination and i simply love it so mu

Recently I have got the liking for goreng pisang or fried banana. This stall besides having the fried banana also has fried sweet potato so I decided to order that since it is not as filling as banana. The batter is somewhat like those tempura batter and it is very thin, so you really get to have more of the sweet potato than batter. I was also surprised to find that it isn't too oily and it does not have an "oily" smell which sometimes do happen if they reuse the oil for too many times. The swe

The sweet potato is quite sweet and soft and overall, I really liked it. I will try their fried banana next time.

The goreng pisang ($1 or $1.10 each if I remember correctly) from Snow Mount is one of the better ones around. The bananas here are always ripe and sweet, and are coated in a light, lacy batter that is none too greasy. It would be great if the durian pisang, a deep-fried banana stuffed with some durian flesh, came with more of the pungent fruit though!

Though not really a fan but i do enjoy eating it once in a while. I was happened to be in the mood for a munch when i walked past this stall thus ended up with a piece of fried sweet potato for coffee break later. It was coated with a thin layer of batter and fried it rather well and most importantly, it was not oily. The sweet potato within got a nice sweetness that complemented well with the outer layer of crispiness. If you happen to be in this food centre and want a munch then you would defi

If you happen to be in this food centre and want a munch then you would definitely something that you like from this humble stall.
