Mixed pork porridge $2.70:The mixed pork porridge consists of pig liver, meat balls, and pork slices. I queued for around 20 minutes before it finally got to my turn. The porridge is more of the watery kind and has a "natural flavour" to it (doesn't feel like there is any m.s.g). Although the porridge is delicious (the mixed meat makes it tastier), I wouldn't queue 20 minutes for it.  continue reading

This is one of the best porridge stall ever. Well, it is not only nice but cheap. I ordered this pork porridge at $2.50 per bowl. The ingredients they gave are also quite generous; 2 slices of pig kidney and around 5-6 slices of pork. Hence, for such good food and affordable pricing, the queue was long. It takes around 20 minutes before my porridge is served. However, they sent the food their customers' table which at least allow customers to have a seat while waiting. continue reading

Pork porridge, the signature dish of soon lee costs S$2.50 per bowl. If you want to add an egg, it would cost you S$0.30 more and for take away it will be additional S$0.20. Popular among the young and old, its "Cook-To-Order" method could take one to wait for up to about 20 minutes just to enjoy a bowl of their favourite porridge. If not for my colleages' effort, I will not want to try the porridge due to the disappointing standards encountered during my last purchase.Luckily the portion of porridge was not as watery as the last round. Since it was cooked based on the order, every bowl of porridge served is piping hot. I have to be very careful when consuming. I still love the richness tasty ingredients that comes along with the porridge however if they can minimise the water content, it will be better. continue reading

Sunday morning, we went for jogging from Jurong east to Clementi & decided to eat breakfast...We had their pork porridge ($2.50). It's not self-service, they would bring over to your table because you do have to wait for quite some time. There's quite a lot of people waiting for their orders as well...You can see that the people tending the stall are very busy all of the time...Well, first of all, it's really quite value for money since it's only $2.50 but they give you a lot of stuff inside the porridge (pork liver as well)...The porridge was quite thick and yet smooth to taste. The pork itself is also very savory... Definitely recommended for those porridge lovers...They sell fish and chicken porridge as well and for an extra 30 cents you get an egg...Recently hot weather, be prepare to sweat... continue reading
