Samsui Ginger Chicken
The art of consuming "Samsui Ginger Chicken" is by dipping the chicken into the ginger sauce and wrapping them with fresh lettuce.
The chicken meat is very fresh, succulent, tender and juicy. Ginger sauce also very nice with strong ginger taste !!

Claypot Toufu
The Toufu is fresh and soft with very nice & sweet gravy inside

Ah Kon Fan Shu Ye
I personally like this sweet potato vegetables as the sambal chilli not so spicy and is not over-cooked

The Service
I find the service to be quite good. Waitresses are friendly and attentive to our requests.
Overall, I've had a good impression of the service here.

The Ambience
It is a wonderful place with cosy and comfortable ambience . The service there is always excellent and the waitresses will always smile.

The Price
Spent about $40 for the final bill.

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try the other dishes and highly recommended to try this !!

Long Beans & Steamed Chicken

The steamed chicken is one of my favourite dish. THe chicken meat is very tender and juicy and there are actually no bones found in it. The generous amount of sesame oil topped on it make it really fragrant. Their stir fried long bean is equally delicious, which the long beans are very crunchy and not overly cooked. The light flavour sauce used in it is not salty, which is quite good for health.

 This is the olive rice that I had not taste since I was in kindergarten! I missed this a lot because it reminds me of those days when I was in the kindergarten, they always cook this rice for our lunch! I could swear I smell it even when I am typing this review now! so unbelievable! I just like the smell of the olive mixed with the white rice! It gives a great combination!

 This is the minced pork steamed with soya sauce and with the egg york on top. It taste quite nice because there is no stink smell of pork which I do not like. Probably is because the soya sauce has covered the smell of pork nicely!

 Lastly, after all the dishes, it's time for the dessert. We ordered the Gui Ling Gao. It is served with a honey pot but there is no necessary to pour all the honey into it because it would be too sweet>.< I personally like Gui Ling Gao because of its bitter taste


I would strongly recommend this restaurant to my family and friends if there are having a family dinner on weekends! The environment is nice with its traditional chinese decorations and atmosphere
Most of all, the price is very reasonable.

Went to soup restaurant with my parents for dinner after a day of shopping. When we arrive, it was near to dinner time so it is quite pack. We waited for a while before getting a table. The food item are mainly chinese cuisine, some of the popular dishes is a must to order whenever you eat at the restaurant. You will see mostly every table will order that dish. The prices for some items are reasonable, whereas for others, it can be quite expensive, but all tasted delicious.

If you haven't visit soup restaurant, i would suggest you visiting. It was my first time dining in at there as well, and it was wonderful! Especially their samsui ginger chicken, which i believe it is one of their must order item whenever you visit them. The chicken is the white steam chicken, soft and tender, dip into the ginger which even enhance the taste and flavour. You can choose to eat it like this or wrap it with slices of lettuce.

Samsui chicken is one of our flavourite dish during lunch and dinner. The chicken meat is as usual very tender and juicy, with the very smooth glossy skin on every piece of chicken meat. The minced ginger with sesame oil is very fragrant and you can also eat it on it's own without any rice and dishes. The portion is always so generous here which we are always glad that we need not pay alot and is still able to enjoy the nice cosy environment of a Chinese restaurant.

If you haven't already been to Soup restaurant, you are missing out on its chicken! Their samsui chicken is one of the best that I have had. Together with their specially made ginger, which can be bought from their restaurant, the chicken is made even more tasty. It is tender unlike most chicken breast meat and the chicken skin is also not too oily. It has a consistency that is more jelly like. This is always our must order dish when we dine at Soup restaurant.

No idea who came up with the idea that chinese style restaurants has to force their patrons to use uncomfy hard stools so the restaurants can have an oriental ambiance. Boo Boo. That's dumb. Customer comfort should matters more. SO from now on, I will pop by again ONLY if I peek and see comfy chairs.
