A friend introduced this restaurant to me, hoping that i will like their chinese soup. I find that there is too much msg in it and i still prefer the soups that my mum boiled for hours at home. But this Samsui Ginger Chicken definitely aroused my tastebuds. Its so good that i asked her to order another plate for herself and i will finish for her if she is unable to. The chicken is cold, and when dipped into the ginger with the cucumber wrapped in the cabbage, its a taste of heaven. The concept is the same as the Koreans where they wrapped their BBQ meat in the lettuce. This is the only dish i will order whenever i am at the soup restaurant, and my friend will order her usual soup. continue reading

This restaurant was recommended by my sister. Their signature dish is definitely the Samsui Ginger Chicken which originated from the samsui women. Beautifully laid out on a plate with the much-acclaimed ginger in the centre. There is the accompanying sliced chilli and lettuce as well which is quite nicely done and the meat is pretty tender. We also ordered another dish Beggar Pork Ribs: this was nice but somehow lacking in meat around the bones. They also offer a pretty wide range of soups. Although their menu is a little on the pricey side, but it's definitely worth a try. continue reading

The sam sui chicken at soup restaurant is something that I have craving for every once in a while. The combination of cold chicken with lettuce & ginger sauce is just perfect match. It's regretful tat their source of chicken is very normal Singapore chicken that never exercise... it's not tender & no muscles... great way of preparation & presentation but the food source was not good enough for the high price~ continue reading
