Located at the fifth floor with various restaurants, Soup Restaurant stands on its own with its traditional chinese dishes. The restaurant is decorated in traditional chinese style in black and white. Various vases on shelves decorated the wall.Boiled Soup of The Day ($15.90++/ Middle)The boiled soup of the day turns out to be melon with pork rib soup, served in a pot. A smiple dish of boiled chicken, served with its signature minced ginger sauce and lettuce. Just eat it wrapped with the crunchy lettuce, with a dash of sauce in it, it is heavenly. The ginger sauce just peaks up the dish. If that is not enough for you, there is bottles of the ginger sauce for sale at the counter too. Ah Kon Fan Shu Leaves ($8.90++/ Small)
A well loved dish which I often had when I was young. Cooked in spicy sauce, it is very nice with just plain rice. Claypot Samon ($15.90++)
Cooked with pepper corns and red pepper, the dish give a numbing effect but wihtout the spiciness. Tasty. Currently there is a OCBC credit card promotion, where the dish is free with every order of Samsui Ginger Chicken.
Coupled with 3 bowls of plain rice($0.90++/bowl), the total bill comes up to $52.26. Water is served free. Service is quite fast and smooth.
