We enjoyed dining at Spice Brasserie as the restaurant was very spacious with relaxing feel - The feeling is like having steamboat at home! We only pay $50 nett for the steamboat lunch buffet for 2 pax with credit card promotion which is very worth it!

The seafood were very fresh, I like their fish fillet and wok-fried crayfish the most! As I'm a super dessert lover, so I have high expectations on dessert. Sad to say the quality of the dessert here did not impress me, they were mostly decent. Hope to see more improvements in their dessert next time.

First time having a breakfast buffet in a hotel and surprisingly the experience was quite nice and comfortable. August month was my birthday month so my colleague decided to give me a treat. We decided to have a buffet dinner after work. Thus, we made a reservation on that day before headed over. Luckily we did as the place was crowded with customers.

Penang Hawker foods with the compulsory signature dishes Penang Char Kway Teow and Penang Assam Laksa. The char kway teow version taste similar with the ones I had in Penang. But it is considered quite good in Singapore for me as the wide kway teow is soft and nicely fried with lap cheongs and chives. Penang Assam Laksa tasted delicious too.

There are other local varieties to choose from the buffet. There is Indian food sections such as their rojaks, chinese cooked dishes and also Teow Chew porridges with varieties of dishes to choose from. We are spoilt with the choices and there are sashimi too. The sashimi are displayed at the sashimi counter and the chef will only prepare to cut to slices upon request.

Seafood sections are available next to sashimi counter. Fresh prawns and mussels are displayed. Cold salads are ready to consume as well.

As for desserts section, there are sweet cakes and puddings available.Nyonya kueh are available too. I also get to DIY ice kacang with my own choices of ingredients. Coffee and Tea sections are available as well. These are practically standard sections that not to be miss out from buffet list.

Sashimi counter - There was a small selection of sushi and wide variety of sashimi which was very fresh. Selection of shashimi was swordfish, mackerel, salmon, tuna and few others than I dont recall. I tried tuna, salmon and swordfish. It was fresh and the swordfish was creamy.

The desert selection - Quite a variety of deserts selection, mixture of local and thai styled desserts. The eclair was exceptionally delicious and you can even find ice kachang there.

Pooridge selection with side dishes - I tried the lu dan and tau pok, this was quite a disappointment as the gravy was too diluted and not much of flavour.

Thai styled dishes - Yan woon sen, not spicy and sour enough. Mango salad was lacking in spice and overall flavour. There was also padthai, bbq pork to go with the thai theme but on an overall the thai dishes paled alongside the local fare which tasted much better.

Self service salad counter - I enjoyed the plate of caesar salad my boyfriend tossed, the veges were fresh and crunchy and the sauce, croutons and shrimps completed the overall touch for a perfect salad.

My overall rating for the buffet line is 6/10, value for money. Convenient location, I would not mind trying the other theme nights for the food served but I would not want to try the thai theme again. No need to reserve on a weekday, the restaurant was empty except for two tables.

Nice quiet environment if you do not wish to be clumped with the crowd like everywhere else.

Went there for their weekend dinner. They were having hawker food theme on that day. Chicken rice, roast duck and pork, fried hokkien mee were prepared on the spot. They also have a section for porridge, I love their sweet potato porridge, the porridge was smoothI find that their warm food was not served "warm" enough, as though they were left there for a long time till reached room temperature. Hope they could improve on that.

We visited the restaurant on a weekday night and it was quite empty except for three occupied tables. I guess that the 'lack' of customers around also resulted in a more laid back service experience.

The one thing different about this buffet is the offer of free flow beer without any extra cost. But we didn't want to fill up on beer, only on food.

They had an average spread, in my opinion. Nothing too fancy.

There was cold food like crab, shrimp and shellfish. They also had a cooked seafood section, where they will prepare the food as you order. Some of the dishes here were the grilled stingray, seafood tom yam, chilli crab, squid and crayfish.

Other food they have included seafood tempura, fried chicken wings, etc.

I wouldn't say the buffet was bad, not at all in fact. But I do believe the dining ambience made the dinner feel very tiring and boring.

the sushi was fresh and simple, but still they have sashimi and for a buffet price like this, it's amazing. They also had local stalls and those prawn in the cracker cup thing which is absolutely delicious. The main courses ranges from pork to chicken and beef, and they're all good to fill in. They also had a dessert stall to make your own ice kachang, or scoop ice creams, or the little cakes parlor with the BEST ECLAIR WHICH RAN OUT because well, I think I still had the bigger percentage in eating compared to my cousin. But i do miss it now.

the place although the hotel looks.... old from the outside, the inside has been refurbished. The restaurant has a cool and clean environment, it's a great place to hold family events or a small gathering together. It really is a hidden gem in between Farrer Park there.
