This is my first visit to Spinelli Coffee Company and I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich. You can order it ala carte or as a set meal. However if i remember correctly the set meal is only available during lunch. There are also limited options for the set meal and either a coffee or tea.The chicken club sandwich contains chicken with bits of bacon and vegetables. Overall a very filling meal! I topped up the meal to change my drink to Iced Lemon Tea.The cafe has the normal seats and a few booth seats. However some of the tables were left uncleared even though there weren't much patrons around.Read More

Went over to Spinelli for some after dinner dessert, I had the ice chocolate drink with nutella cheese cake while my friends ordered the hazelnut latte and sunkist twist. The ice chocolate drink is ordinary, tasted a little blend. The hazelnut latte has quite a strong coffee taste, can't really taste the hazelnut. Will not recommend both drinks. The sunkist twist was great though, the orange tastes very refreshing with the slight vanilla milky taste. There's no sour orange taste, and drink wasn't too sweet either! We like the nutella cheese cake, it has a very rich chocolate taste complementing the smooth cheese cake, the combination goes very well together. Must try this!:):)Read More

The only good reason to work in Orchard Road is that you can have a wide variety of choices of pastries for tea time! Spinelli is only 5 mins walk from my office and i'm tempted to to get a slice of cheesecake. But then i saw that there's a set of 3 mini cakes that is less than $5 altogether. Sold!! :)I chose Tiramisu, Opera & Cheesecake! Its like bite size but still is good. i like the tiramisu, you can taste a hint of alcohol. The cheese cake and opera was just creamy loved it! These bite sized desserts go well with a hot cop of latte :)Read More

Spinelli is a good place to chill out after meals :)The place is quite spacious with lots of seats around.Ordering and serving of drinks is quite fast.My friend ordered a Caramel latte and i got myself a Fruitti-T twist I tried a taste of my friend's coffee, love the aroma of it!I can clearly taste the sweet caramel in the drink! My Fruitti-T twist is an ice blended drink! It consist of refreshing raspberry with floral infusion I thought it sounds interesting to taste the floral taste so i ordered this.It turned out to be quite sour, which is good for me as i had too much dinner earlier on However i'll not recommend this if you're not a sour food fan!Read More

This is one of my all-time favourite coffee drink, as compared to "The Ultimate" from Coffeebean or "Dark Mocha" from Starbucks. Reason being the coffee taste is strong and aromatic and the caffeine level is sufficient to keep anyone awake for quite a long time. The "large" size mocha spin costs me $6.70. When I purchased today, there's a 1-for-1 promotion offered by Standard Chartered Manhattans credit card where you get the 2nd cup free and you only need to pay for the higher value item.Read More

Spinelli recently opened a new outlet at Wheelock Place basement. I've always enjoyed their SPIN coffees which is basically an ice-blended coffee, but have never tried out their food before. Today, I decided to have a nice and quiet lunch here.I ordered a Chicken Pot Pie which comes with salad on the side and also a Cookie Chip Spin. The chicken pot pie was quite good. There were big chunks of potato inside and the chicken was also quite tender. The crust of the pie was also crumbly enough. Their coffee always packs a good punch and the Cookie Chip spin is one of their most awesome beverages you should definitely give a try! Although it was peak hour lunchtime on a weekday, I guess not many people want to have a pie for lunch so I practically had the entire café to myself. Read More

For Manhanttan Card holders, there is a one for one spinelli drink when you pay with your Manhattan card. Definitely a great time to bring a friend along to have a nice coffee chit chat catch up time. This time I visited Spinelli near closing time and my drink was served in a paper cup instead of normal cup although I was having my drink in the shop. I had their really unique blend of Hot Chai Matcha Tea latte. It's a really love it or hate it kind of drink because it contained a spicy blend of chai tea coupled with thick matcha green tea. I personally enjoyed this twist and fans of chai and matcha would definitely not want to miss this drink.Read More

Popped by the newly opened Spinelli Coffee outlet here at the revitalized Wheelock basement for some coffee and cakes. When I initially stepped in, it was really empty with few people, but people suddenly came in flocks and within minutes, the place was full. I guess it was tea time and since the shopfront faces the escalator, I guess the shop expects to face floods of crowds any time. The place actually looks very cosy with ample tables and seats that got filled up quickly. There were some comfortable looking sofas at the sides of the cafe and the inner corner for customers to sit on. I looked at the fridge near the counter and was immediately drawn to their cute and neatly arranged rows of Petite cakes selection. So for $4.60, you can get 2 cakes, $6.20 for 3 cakes and $8.20 for 4 cakes. I was actually quite excited about choosing my cakes and decided to settle for two- Chocolate Banana and Opera Classique flavours. First off, the cakes were really miniscule- some people might not like this and would probably see more sense paying a little more to get a bigger and fatter single slice, single flavoured cake. But some people might appreciate the choice of having 2 or more cakes on their plate and might be willing to pay for variety. Chocolate Banana- It was a really simple sponge cake filled with a layer of chocolate banana filling. I could have easily popped the entire slice of petite cake into my mouth but refrained from doing so. I tried to appreciate the rich, fragrant banana infused chocolate filling that went well with the soft sponge cake.Opera Classique- it was just an ordinary chocolate cake, wedged between some layers of sponge cake. Did not really appreciate this. I ordered a cup of latte to go with my cakes, but was utterly disappointed by how my cup of latte did not seem to have much coffee in it. It was overwhelmed with milk and sadly tasted like warm milk. This was not I was expecting from a cup of Spinelli coffee. The cashier taking my orders did not seem friendly at all; she did not smile at all and was seemingly unfriendly and cold to the customers. I noticed her attitude was consistently curt and bordering on negative for the customers behind me too. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but that did not bode well for customers expecting great service and coffee from a reputable coffee chain. Read More
