Rosemary, Emmental Cheese and Chicken Croissant

The Rosemary chicken, onion and celery filling resembled the minced texture of tuna filling in sandwiches. Mine came with the croissant nearly flattened - most likely the tongs used clasped the croissant too hard. ):

The croissant itself was a bit soggy, like how a microwaved croissant is. Ok this is microwaved, but still there are microwaved croissants which turn out good ain't? Those who aren't into onion and celery can skip this, like me, because the presence of these in the filling is quite distinct.

To be fair, the presentation may differ across branches, depending on your barista's mood and strength.

The cheese melted nicely after they heated it up, and it comes with a slice of turkey ham. The egg white needed a sprinkling more of salt though. This will fall under healthy tasting to normal people because it is a little too bland. The wholemeal bun(bread person here) fared good. It retained its structured exterior with little crumbs atop while fluffy inside, with an aroma. Add your own salt, but otherwise this will cut it for a healthy option.

I liked that the spinach is embedded inside the egg, but the grilled chicken has this rubbery consistency. If you need meat and vegetable balance among their breakfast offerings, your best bet would be this. Again, you may need to add your own salt. If it matters, the buns are not wholemeal for this.

The egg white wrap is probably the most well-seasoned out of the rest. In terms of taste, this has an edge in terms of in taste as it is not dragged down by blandness. If you don't mind that it is meatless, this is good to pick.

Egg Omelette Croque Monsieur

This is a panini bread with a layer of omelette, and another layer of melted cheese with turkey ham pieces and some herbs sprinkled on top. Similar to the ham and cheese bread you can get from bakeries, with the exception being the added omelette layer. Erm, the other choices are more unique.

As for the egg mayo sandwich, I didn't venture to try as a barista warned us against it. Hmm. The last two untried items are the pancakes and croque madame.

Starbucks has managed to keep its consistent theme of healthy in these breakfast sets. It is also a boost for calorie-counters given that these sets are lesser of a calorie bomb. They can make for a pretty lasting breakfast (till about 2pm) if you get it along with a drink (cappucino/latte).

The new breakfast offerings are offered till 11.30am on weekdays and till 2.30pm on the weekends. Do not go after this cut-off times. The items are also available after breakfast hours, going at $5.90 for just the item and are subject to availability at each different store.

This xmas tree danish attracts my child attention when we stepped into starbucks. The staff is proactive and asks if we wanted it heated up, which is nice. The danish taste ok, crisp on the outside and the layers within do not have too much of buttery taste. The jam circles are also not too much of taste, can't really tell what jam it is...perhaps some berry jam. Priced at $4.50, I thought it is on the more expensive side as this is just a simple danish. Ambience is conducive and is a nice place

For a hot weather country like Singapore, whenever i want to get a cooling drink and Starbucks is nearby, i will like to get their Iced Shaken Lemon Tea ( Green Tea ). Quite a generous portion and when you cut it open, i was pleasantly surprised to see lots of spinach in it. Very good as it balance out with the duck meat! There was lots of purple sweet potato too overall taste is quite enjoyable when i pair it with the orange colour tangy tasting dip that comes with it.

Starbucks used to be one of my favour cafe outlet while shopping. However, I noticed that I have slowly and unnoticedly shifted my favour location to elsewhere. Depending on location, nowadays I tend to visit the following outlets more and more often without knowing why until lately...I finally realise it when I visited Starbucks before Chinese New Year with my clique.

Todays, I visited SmoothieKing, Cedele and Dean&Deluca more often instead while in the central district areas. Lately, I have found another nice restaurant near Lorong Ampat - Wheeler Yards, good and nice atmosphere but maybe a little ex.

Starbucks has always been a beverage attraction for most patrons and thus it is always very crowded. Long queue for order, long queue waiting for your drink and always having challenge looking for a seat. Wasted more than 30 to 45 minutes queuing and waiting for seat. I started to realise that how much I missed the innovative, environment and atmosphere that Cedele, SmoothieKing and Dean&Deluca bring to me.

I finally realised how much I appreciated they have enhanced their ways to serve us better with the small alerting or food pager (If I still remember correctly from the back of the pager, it is from www.antfi.com). It is so much convenient and relax when patronizing with them. The ordering took me only 5-10mins and I can relax myself to a seating site or run my little errand nearby while waiting for latte cafe.

I have seen other countries like Korea, Japan, Sydney and other, have adopted such technology but here it seems that very little outlets (other than those mentioned above) are interested to put a thought in serving patrons better. I really hope that we can catch up the rest of the other developed countries in term of basic service like the one I see above.

I hope to write more in the next coming weeks if there is something I need to share.

was craving for cheesecake the other day when i was about to go home. so i went to starbucks and bought this newyork cheesecake back home. It cost me $6.50. And i gotta say the cake is pretty average. The smell of the cheese is a bit too strong to my liking. Other than that i am fine with it. However, in future i will not buy cheesecake from starbucks instead as it is too mediocre. wold rather spend abit buy to get the cheesecake from nydc.

I've always had my cheesecake fixes at certain establishments and this would be one of the more infrequent ones. I usually just have my coffees here. But this was a very sweetsalty surprise. happy teacher's day! my favourite boys they came up with an impromptu attempt to celebrate education with me. haha.the cheesecake was equally dense as the CBTL ones but less smooth. i loved the raspberry swirls that gave a sour fruity tang that was more refreshing than jarring. i liked it.

This time, I gave the newyork cheesecake a try. It's priced at $6.50, which is a little pricier than normal cafes would sell, but it's starbucks what do we expect. The texture of the cheesecake was really thick and cheesy, and it wasn't too watery or crumbly. The cookie base is strong and moist, which gave the cake an overall decent taste. It will probably be better if it isn't too hard. Hard for a cheesecake. Celine

One of my favourite drink at starbucks is the white chocolate mocha! It can be frappucino (ice blended) or iced, and both are equally good. I like this because the coffee flavour won't be too strong as they inculcate the sweetness element from white chocolate. The outlet at raffles city has gone another renovation and it's equipped with more chairs now!Celine

I have tried their new Dark Mocha White Chocolate Pudding Frappuccino and didn't quite like it as it was way too chocolatey and sweet. Nevertheless, recommended, but not at the usual price though.

It was my 2nd visit of the year to the starbucks at raffles city. During the first visit, there was a live music sang by Natalie Hiong as she was promoting her latest singles album. The dark chocolate mocha frappe at Starbucks is really really good. The huge drink comes topped with whipped cream and I also add vanilla and chocolate powder to it. The ice blended drink is very very smooth with no unpleasant chunks of ice in the drink. Real good quality coffee and chocolate is used such that I can even taste the bits of chocolate in the drink. Although very expensive at more than $8/cup, it is worth the hefty price tag.

Went Starbucks yesterday with my friend for a mini chatting and resting session after shopping!
Reason we chose Starbucks was that my friend remembered that her Maybank card can be used there for a one for one latte deal

As usual, there’s always a splatter of people in Starbucks!
We managed to get a more comfortable sofa seat that can house us and our shopping bags ;)
We saw that they have Macha green tea latte and thought of trying it out since both of us had yet to.
There was a top up fee for it but still we decided to top up since the deal is still more than worth it.
Their green tea latte is really good, not too sweet yet retains the green tea taste perfectly just like the Japansese Macha.
This was definitely a worth while deal that we’ll definitely be back again for!
