Got a tall cup of cappuccino for $5.50 and a cookie cream cheesecake for $6.50! THE CAKE WAS really delicious, it wasn't too thick or too moist, you know sometimes they have water condensation on the cake and it tastes really strange? I guess the cake was really really fresh! They didn't offer me any spoon for the cup of cappuccino, so rmember to ask.. and even if they do, it's a plastic spoon. aren't you supposed to eat or bite the froth for cappuccino? the staff wasn't very friendly when i ask

Ordered a large venti sized Hojicha Latte here at Starbucks Holland Village in order to redeem their special edition red packets (yes, I fall for such gimmicks). I personally love Hojicha, it is essentially roasted japanese green tea. I find the balance of roasted green tea and hot milk very comforting, but venti was a little too much for one person to consume. The environment here is really nice and the table counters on the second floor have power plugs!

Being a huge green tea fan, I was tempted to try out one of the new cakes that Starbucks has introduced recently - Red Bean Green Tea Cheesecake. The contradicting point here is that I dislike cheesecake. But for green tea, I'm willing to give in everything. I plucked out my courage and ordered the slightly pricey Red Bean Green Tea Cheesecake at $6.50. I was anticipating burst of strong green tea flavour, but when I took my first bite I was very disappointed. There isn't any green tea flavour

There isn't any green tea flavour at all. All I could taste was the sweet flavour which came from the red beans. The cheesecake isn't really cheesecake after all. Between the layers of supposedly cheese cakes, lies a layer of sponge cake. This may be the only point which benefits me since I dislike cheesecake. But then again, why is it called cheesecake when it doesn't taste like cheesecake?

The cakes may appear delicious, but they are after all appearances.

Starbucks is one of the place I would frequent often as firstly, I see it as a comfy place to rest and watches the world goes by while having some alone time or a place to hang out with friends without the worry of being chased out. I visited the Holland V. Starbucks today and looking at the menu I was surprised that Starbucks actually has 2 new beverages on its menu namely Red Bean Green Tea Frappe and Hojicha and Tea Jelly Frappe. Being a huge fan of Green Tea I decided to try out the new Red Bean Green Tea Frappe. I was a little disappointed with the drink as I felt that Red Bean and Green Tea complement each other well with red bean giving a little sweetness to the bitter green tea. But in this case, the red bean overpowers the taste of a green tea making the drink sweeter than usual. All I could taste when I drank the green tea frappe was red bean. Mmm...
I prefer the original Green Tea Frappe. But if you have a tad for red bean do give it a try for the drink was spammed with lots of red bean.

I had the sun-dried Tomato, turkey ham and Monterey Jack too. In case you're wondering, Monterey Jack is actually an American Cheese made with cow's milk.

The sun-dried tomato actually enhances the taste of the ham-and-cheese combination plus there is an additional spread of tomato paste on the bread giving it more flavour.

The caramel machiato can be closely compared to the high voltage @ Gloria jeans. However, this version seems to be so much better. The caramel machiato; unlike the frappe; is not blended but has chunks of ice instead. The beverage is has a high content of coffee and is really milky at the same time - The kind of combination that I adore.Starbucks is also famous for their slices of cake which tend to be really rich but a tad too expensive. Starbucks is also famous for their slices of cake which tend to be really rich but a tad too expensive. The cakes also seem to be freshly baked. The staff are also friendly and do not take too long to serve customers or clear tables.
