For a limited time period, Starbucks is having their monthly (actually, they don't really tell you when the promotion ends) promotion. This time its' either green tea pudding or chocolate pudding. I wonder if they actually ran out of ideas, and have to resort to mimic-ing the bubble tea chains in Singapore you know.Providing a specially-customized large straw with a spoon-tip at the end so that we can eat the pudding, I didn't feel it was anything special from Starbucks. After lunch hours and tea break time are some of the busiest periods at this starbucks outlet as students and office workers descend to the outlet for their dose of caffeine. Some times the queues snake quite a bit, but depending on the number of baristas working that day, orders are usually served out quickly. I was looking over the cakes section when I spotted this delicious looking Caffee Verona Chiffon Cake ($5) and decided to give it a try together with a nice cup of coffee. I was expected a rather dry cake, but to my surprise, the chiffon cake was really moist, with nice coffee swirls in it. I always loved Starbucks coffee and it never disappoints me especially when I need some coffee to keep myself awake. The aroma is really strong especially in NTU where the place is an enclosed aircon space. I've ordered a Venti Dark Mocha this time round and the chips inside is quite chewy. In starbucks, I really liked java chip frappe and dark mocha frappe. Java chip frappe has the java chips inside and adds the crunch in the drink. The mix of coffee and chocolate in dark mocha has a nice mix. Frappe is definately one of my favourite drinks cause of Singapore's hot weather. I like Starbuck's blueberry muffin too. I use my starbucks card to buy which will give one free cup with every 12 cups.…Read More

I really enjoyed this mocha frapp a lot (without whipped cream) because the caffeine is strong, the chocolate taste is strong, and it doesn't get any diluted even to the last drop. The baristas are really cheerful and friendly even though there was a long queue. Starbucks is a delightful chain, filled with the most passionate and friendly baristas I've seen so far! But my favourite outlet of them all has got to be the NTU Starbucks.First of all, it's spanking new, and directly connected to the Global Lounge. The Global Lounge in NTU is where you can choose between sipping your coffee in the comfort of the normal seating (tables and chairs) or opt to plug in your earphones and enjoy the programs playing on the split screen tv in front of many vibrantly plush red chairs. Now, tell me which other Starbucks have amenities like this?Also, the baristas at NTU Starbucks are always so cheery and ready to meet your requests with a happy smile! :) I've always went to them in the mornings to get my breakfast wrap - and each time their good service manages to lift me from my tired funk. This white chocolate mocha is very nice. It doesn't taste too bitter and doesn't taste too sweet. It tastes just right. It goes very well with the whipped cream. The coffee itself is very smooth to the palette and the coffee taste is not overpowered. The portion is big too(Venti size). Starbucks @ NTU offers 10% discount for all beverages for all NTU student and staffs.It is located right inside SAC. In general, the waiting time was fast. There is no cakes but other items (e.g scone, waffles). Perhaps it is easier for students to grab these items on the go.I ordered two drinks. One hot and one cold caramel macchiato.
