One of my favorite place for dim sum. It is always crowded with people and you will expect to queue for a while. They had quite a number of choices for their dim sum. Dishes that i will recommend will be the Xiao Long Bao and the Cold Spicy Chicken. The skin of the xiao long bao is not too thick nor too thin and the juicy meat fillings is really nice. The Cold Spicy Chicken is quite spicy and it had a sweet after taste.

Recently i'm on a dimsum spree and have been on a quest for the ultimate liu sha bao in singapore. Lol. Anyway, at the moment Victor's kitchen at sunshine plaza remains my top pick and I will say Swee choon takes second place now. The problem with the liusha bao from other places is they tend to be more sweet than savoury which i prefer the latter. So i finally got moving to find this place! Its not easy to find but very very worth it... i can already tell from the first bite of that xiao long bao i will come back for many many more times.. =)

Almost everything was great--

1. Xiaolongbao-- very good thin skin with abundant of soup. I gauge xiaolongbao by 2 things, the texture of the bao and the tastiness of the broth. They got an 8/10 for the 1st criteria, second criteria a 7/10.
2: Fried beancurd roll-- crispy and full of filling. yumms
3: fried prawn dumpling-- Im glad we got this instead of the usual hargow. The prawn were really fresh and dumplings didnt left us frustrated with too much dough n not enough filling.
4. fried meesuah-- this is one of the top picks of most reviewers of this restaurant. I must say although its innovative, it doesnt taste so so good. Its just fried and a little tasteless. A little bit more salt and pepper could probably give it more kick.
5. desserts was so-so..
6. Liu sha bao-- as writtenm the liushabao is more to the savoury side. Filling could be a little more but maybe because the bao was smaller too. Still good!!

Theres so many more other things to try i wanna go back there asap! lol.

But seriously for the price.. we paid $30 in all.. with a chicken glutinous rice that i didnt eat and 2 grass jelly drink. Worth it no?

I will have one whole basket of the liusha bao to myself the next time.

There isnt many (good) late night eateries after 12 midnight. Was hungry after the flea at red dot museum and we settled at Swee Choon in the end. We ordered the famous custard bun and was really happy about it as you can. Feel the full of egg yolk melting inside your mouth while it hot while serve with tea and taste as well after la main when it turn cold. Great to start a topic conversation with friend discussions of wondering how it was bake with the egg yolks melting inside. As it is famous for shanghai food, we also tried the shanghai Xiao long Bao, it taste as nice when it both hot and cold as you can feel the mixture of the meat and juice smoothing down your throat. We'll, although this may taste as normal as outside. Taste a slip of my friend hor fun, it was special too as compare to outside and worthwhile after seeing and tasting it although it slightly more expensive that outisde hawker for this.We also tried the la main to make it a complete meal since we have go all the while there from far and experience a new dinning place which we don't normally go. I have the sour and spicy la main which is great to meeting my taste and the noodle is just too smooth to be eaten although the noodle is long. We also have the Si Chuan la main which is equally good for those who missed oversea great food in Singapore in the middle of the night. It just great serving with tea or on it own in a small mouthful to big mouthful till toward the end , you would shill crave for more although you are already full. The service is also great as they have a bell that ring for assistance when you dun feel stress making them wait when you deciding what to eat and the food serve is also at a great fast speed. It is quite comfortable to enjoy the food at night in the air-conditioner room.the restaurant overall cleanness is also recommendable in the type of environment.

I was introduced to this place by a friend. This place is quite popular for its Dim Sum. There is always a queue outside but its very orderly. You will take a queue number and wait for your turn. Shrimp dumplings, custard buns were alright. Do not particularly like their egg tarts, would not order it again. I would go back again as they have very good dim sum at very reasonable prices. What I like about this place as well is that, they open till 10pm. So if you're craving for late night bites Dim Sum, this is the place to visit.

I think the standard abit drop. We went on a Sunday night, egg tarts served were not hot, and it seems like size has shrunk. It used to be more tasty. Hopfully it is just due to it is not hot. Even he carrot cake that my husband and I used to order seems to have shrunk in size. But thankfully, our favourite red bean crepes is still as tasty.

The service there is fantastic though it will be an added advantage if you are mandarin speaking. The staff there will be helpful and assist you and you can clarify all your orders with them and they will serve you promptly.

Lastly, the ambience is really simple, coffee shop like tables, simple cutlery and some awesome ol school stools and yea thats about it.

When you are hungry at night, head on down to Swee Choon to get an awesome time! With food of course!!!

Swee Choon is by far the best dim sum restaurant in town. Great food aside, it's really cheap too! "Yi Long" in chinese is one basket of the dim sum and i called for the Xiao Long Bao! The skin is very thin and is watery in the inside. Therefore care is needed when taking up the Xiao Long Bao because it will tend to stick a little on the piece of paper that is on the basket. And when you bite it the soup will start to flow out and it's time to bite it with the ingredient and meat on the inside! Yummy! (:

Just by the appearance of the custard bun ( Liu Sha Bao ) is already tempting and not to say by eating them! The moment they served to our table, it is warm and the skin of the bao is soft. And i shared it among my friends and we took one. We peeled open the soft skin and you can see the custard inside is oozing out. What i recommended my friend is to suck the custard and slowly eat them with the bao! Which tasted heavenly good!

One of their unique dim sum is this fried item which is made up of beehoon stuck altogether. It is quite interesting and not too bad a first try too. The other dim sums were really delicious too, steaming hot and fresh out of the kitchen! I love their custard buns which was a little salty but delicious.
