Decided to order a The Rock Ice cream sundae at Swensens. The Rockhas 3 signature ice cream flavours mainly, hazelnut, coookies n cream, rocky road, drenched with marshmellow sauce, hot cocoa and two waffle sticks by the side. The combination of the ice cream flavours were really nice and will be loved for people with a sweet tooth! Overall, this is a great dessert to be shared with after dinner continue reading

It's mid month and no need overtime, grab the chance to meet up with friends update their current situation. They said want to meet at Clementi and it's really far ! but what can i say, they have two and i only one. Swensen's ! our venue. Salmon 'N' Mushroom Pasta! I cant finish alone cause it's too creamy . So that, i ordered two side dishes. Calamari rings and Deep fries Mushroom. Oh my god, all fattening food and they start to blaming me cause they just decided want to diet ! But, eat 1st diet tomorrow please ! The snack is nice, Mushroom and calamari is fresh. continue reading

I love Swensen's weekday lunch treat! Basically for every main course you have ordered, you are entitled to a free side/drink/dessert. Haha how awesome can that be! It's damn worth it!! I went together with a friend and we decided to get a free side and a free dessert for our 2 main courses. For our main courses, I ordered crayfish pasta while my friend ordered curry chicken baked rice. As for the side, we ordered spice n chic and for our dessert, we ordered banana split!!! Firstly, for the crayfish pasta, the spaghetti with tomato sauce tasted average while the crayfish meat was quite fresh! The amount of meat in the crayfish was also quite generous. As for the curry chicken baked rice, it was not super nice as compared to my all time favourite curry zazzle baked rice in Pizza Hut. I do not recommend this as the curry sauce they used wasn't very tasty. As for the spice n chic, we love it as tender thigh meats were seasoned with spices and fried! It was crispy and burst with spices flavour! Shiok! And lastly, my favourite would have to be the banana split! It's my favourite ice cream here! I like that there was 3 different flavored ice cream (chocolate, vanilla & strawberry) topped with peanut chips, whipped cream, one slice of banana and chocolate syrup! Yum yum! I really like the combination of this dessert! Plus, their ice cream are so chewy and yummy! Definitely a must-try in Swensen's Overall, it was an average experience dining here and I guessed I would only come back here again for their desserts and sides but not their main courses! continue reading

I tried their happy hour; 2 sundaes at $10.80 (before GST) for students. I did not really know what to order as I had never tried Swensens ice cream before. So i ordered their chef's recommendation on the menu- THE ROCK. My friend told me that i am able change the flavour of ice cream according to my preference, however, i did not do so as I thought that chef's recommendation will be the best combination! But i was wrong. When the ice cream arrived on my table, i was quite excited because they added dry ice on a plate to make a very nice effect. This is my first time seeing ice cream served with dry ice, quite amazed and make me feel more eager to try their ice cream. But the taste was disappointing. First, The waffles they added on the my ice cream was of bad quality, i could not differentiate is it vanilla or chocolate waffle too. Secondly, the Marshmallow sauce they referred to on the menu was actually whipped cream. Third, the aftertaste of the caramel was weird. Fourth, despite all three flavours being my favorite but the combination was far below my expectation. Lastly, it took a long time before i was served by the waitress. The only thing i like is the quiet environment in the restaurant! continue reading

Ordered 5 scoops of ice cream from Swensen's which is called Topless 5. There are also Regular Earthquake and Giant Earthquake which cater to huge number of people or people who can have high intake of ice cream. The reason for me to choose Swensen's ice cream instead of those tubs of ice cream, which you can grab in super markets or any convenient shops, is because of the fabulous taste of the ice cream. One of the scoops of ice cream that I have order is Durian in favourite. Not only that the ice cream tastes just nice, not too hard and soft, the Durian fillings inside have the original taste of the Durian. Perhaps, that's why Swensen's ice cream stands out. continue reading
