I paid my visit on my birthday eve celebration. The branch at Clarke quay offer a good open dining place with a view of Singapore river and Clarke quay night life. The food and dessert are standard and above average compared to other branches. Prawn Cheese-a-toast (Baked)Prawns do not really taste fresh. There were cheddar cheese toppings on top of the baguette slices. Overall, taste was acceptable.The fish itself was okay though. It was soft and tender and portion was reasonable and rather filling. Can't remember how much it was but I felt that it wasn't worth the price. However, I will still be willing to go back for their pastas.

 It was my brother, Eddie first time to TCC. He had a hard time deciding what should he get. I strongly recommended to him the Chocolate of Wealth ($8.00). It's my personal favorite! I find myself getting this almost every time I visit TCC! Just look at the swills of chocolate fudge! As as they say... It's sinful that's for sure


What did I get right? Well, I wanted to try something new instead of the always having the same drink...

 Marble Cheese Coffee ($8.50). Initally, I thought it was some cheesecake infused drink. I guess the marble cheese comes from the grated cheese sprinkled on the top! Coffee and cheese maybe a weird combination... but surprisingly it turned out great! You slurp some cheese amidst the coffee and they just melt in your mouth! It was a whole new experience for me!

 How can we not have cakes while slurping coffee? Strawberry Yoghurt Roll ($5.80) A sponge based swiss roll with chunks of strawberries amidst a thick white yoghurt core and finish off with a layer of snow white cream. A very light cake, not overtly sweet. The strawberries were very sour though...

I find TCC's cakes to be just alright, nothing special but they are cheaper than your usual dessert cafes.
Which means I would often more than just two if I can afford that is.

The Connoisseur Concerto is one of those place I would go more often compared to other coffee chains. It maybe much more expensive than your typical starbucks coffee but the quality is far from it! Remember what you pay for is not just the drinks/desserts/main course but the ambience as well.

 Lobster Bisque

It's an even bigger bonus when the food is good.

The tomato soup base has been infused with some lobster seafood flavour - really tasty! There are lots of ingredients in the soup too. The best part, surprisingly, has got to be the pastry. Served on butter-toasted french loaf, there are chunks of to-die-for lobster meat and fish roe all over. Love it!

chowder. but i thought it was too dismali loved these thick calamari rings. they came in various shapes and sizes. definitely handmade!and opt for tartar. don't bother with the sweet sauce that comes with it.this pasta was chock full of ingredients. the baby lobster was good. it's awesome! the baked rice was full on cheese. comfort foodand this chicken with wasabi sesame sauce was very good! the chicken was generous and the sauce was deliciously addictive.

I have always tried the plain aglio Olio with nothing but olive oil, garlic and chill padi and I thought it is worthwhile to give a try of the seafood. Moreover, it is more worthwhile. It has succulent pan – seared scallops and fresh prawns, the prawns are very fresh and the scallops are very juicy. However, I did not quite enjoy the spaghetti maybe it is due to the different brand in olive oil used.

This Mango cake is called "MANGO DIVA" which is selling for $5.6 for a single portion. It has a smooth surface on the top which is gelatin with the sweetness of the fresh mango inside. It is like a mango shortcake, gracefully adorned with mango and berries! It's fruit cake therefore it is healthy and it cheered up my day by eating this with tea at TCC! Should try it!

Had been a pasta lover all this while, so I will not hesitate to try out the pasta sold by different restaurants. Went to TCC- The Connoisseur Concerto and ordered their seafood aglio oglio. the spaghetti is not bad after all. Seafood too, were quite fresh. Only downside is that the pasta can be a little bit too dry for me. Oh well, tis might be a little bit spicy to those non-spicy eater. But overall, still satisfied with the taste.

There was a promotion going on at 1 for 1 for all main courses. We decided to head to TCC to try out the promotion. My friend and I ordered the same main course, which is the fried oysters spagetti which costs $22.90++ in total. This helped to save us half the price. The fried oysters were well fried, as they were crispy on outside and juicy in the inside. The portion was quite small though.

Since robertson quay is catered more towards restaurants and pubs (mostly closed in the afternoon), I finally found a TCC where I could take a break from walking.

I ordered a cappuccino cheesecake ($7.90) as it was strongly recommended by the waiter. This heavenly cappuccino cheesecake is beautifully presented with decadent double chocolate ice cream and cocoa streusel. It was velvety smooth and sinfully rich. I love the chocolate ice cream too - a perfect combination with cake; since chocolate and cocoa contain good source of antioxidant.


Normally, I can drink a cup of coffee on its own. But, if I had a cake or some other snacks, then I would prefer to have a hot beverage to go with. Flat white ($4.90) has always been my all time favourite. Simply love its smooth texture
Not forgetting it was accompanied with 2 yummy cookies

 I had the Yuzu Scented Spaghetti with Teriyaki Salmon which was new on their menu. It taste spicy and sweet with chili padi in it! This dish really suit most Singaporeans taste bud. Their salmon is of the right texture and right bite. Just that the salmon look small with the spaghetti. Notice the artistic presentation of the sweet sauce on the plate? My appetite was boost with such lovely food presentation.

We ordered the calamari rings to share and it was crispy and chewy, a dip with the sauce just make it simply perfect.
