TCC - The Connoisseur Concerto

For every month, TCC would come up with different designs of High Tea Set at approximately the price of $15++ inclusive of tea or coffee. I have almost never failed to try their High Tea set every month. And November's set was designed in a way in conjunction with December festive season. Adorable presentation aside, the food was good. I like their scones very much, but this was a chocolate chip scone unlike the usual cranberry scone I had for the past few months. I didn't like chocolate chip much as it was too sweet for me. The macaroons were, too sweet as well, and so I left them untouched. I was here with my friend the other day because of their 1 for 1 lunch. We were expecting the food here to be pretty decent.Rib eye with black pepper sauce and potato.This is my friend's dish and nothing is fantastic about it. the potato is a bit too hard to his liking too. TCC is always a good place for a meal or just desserts; their menu is quite extensive and offers mains like fish, pastas, snacks, etc. I decided to get the Beef Brisket Baked Rice - which had chunks of stewed beef brisket in it. The sauce and melted cheese went well with the baked rice, and the beef chunks were rather tender. TCC has many different types of cakes available for both dine in and takeaway. We tried a takeaway cake this time, the chocolate truffle raspberry one. The cake was very decadent and rich in terms of flavour, and the raspberry taste was nice and complemented the strong chocolate flavour well with some fruitiness. FoodGolden Idako is "shiokingly" good. While waiting for our friends to join us, we ordered this plate of fried idako. The sour taste plum like sauce is perfect blend for the soft fried idako. It may seems soggy after deep fried but its really good.
