Teck Seng Soya Bean Milk is easily to spot among all the stalls in Tiong Bahru Market - at the look of their queue. I didn't know why the queue is long compared to other stalls who is selling the same thing - soya bean milk and dao huay so I decided to join in the queue and order myself a cup of cold soya bean milk. After a sip, I know why it is popular because it tasted really good! The soya bean taste is strong and not diluted even though I ordered the one with ice. So as to say if one is to order the warm/hot soya milk, the taste would be much more better. I also realized that the stall sell only soya bean milk and dao huay, and also chin chow and nothing else, so I guess the stall owners really concentrate on what they selling and that is why it tasted so good. Will be back to try their "black n white" (soya bean milk + chin chow) since I think it is one of their signature dish. continue reading

I grew up drinking soy bean milk and eating the traditional bean curd. Teck seng soya bean milk always have the long queue in tiong bahru market. The soybean drink was too sweet, you can actually taste the syrup. I love authentic soybean without the sugar and that's why I make my own. Thats how i customized mine by asking them to separate the packaging. I love their bean curd too, smooth and silky taste with bait gingery sugar mix it so well. The stall seller brings me back to my childhood. It's fresh, homemade and tastes exactly as it should. continue reading

I love soya bean milk and I particularly love the soya bean milk from Teck Seng Soya Bean Milk! Their soya bean milk is not too sweet, and I like to mix it with grass jelly to add a slightly different taste to the soya bean milk. The grass jelly is so chewy and it really does enhance the flavour of the soya bean milk. continue reading

There is always a queue for drinks and dessert from this stall due to the various food awards and newspaper articles this stall that are displayed. Most importantly, the items they sell are really great. This was my first time ordering 'michael jackson'- a combination of soybean milk and grass jelly from this stall. It was a perfect combination because I love both soybean milk and grass jelly. The aunty poured a cup of soybean milk first before she added a spoonful of grass jelly. I felt it was a good practice because the soybean milk's flavour would not be severely affected, unlike other stalls which I have seen where they just mix both drinks together, making the drink diluted. continue reading
