Teochew Fish Porridge (Closed)

I had tried the "Teochew Fish porridge" in clementi and it is awesome! So when i was at old airport road, i decided to try it again (kind of miss the taste)! However, it was so SHOCKED when the fish porridge arrived on my table. The appearance looks so different and the soup looks so clear just like plain water. Well, never judge a book by its cover and since i had already ordered the book, the decided to try it out too. Ok, it had proven to me that the books just look as bad as the covers. The cabbages tasted so raw and hard and the soup is so diluted, i cause taste any fish taste. The laksa is very oily and hot here. There's some fish cake slices and large fish balls in the gravy. The gravy is served boiling hot and very spicy. There's no veges in the gravy. The gravy is very rich and there is a strong coconut taste and smell. the coconut is fresh and it is well balanced. It is a bit over spicy. There is no bread to mop up the gravy. Went there for lunch with friends. We have ordered Teochew Fish Porridge. The fish was very, very fresh and tender with garnishings like salted vegetables, ginger, chilli and spring onions. The light sauce that was poured over the fish made it very ideal to mix it with rice. All the dishes were freshly cooked and replaced immediately once there is a demand for the same dish.
