I went to take away a $3.50 portion of fish soup with rice for 0.50 cents. It served with only a few slices of sliced fish together with tofu, beancurd skin and vegetable. The sliced fish tasted fresh. The soup has got a nice garlicky taste and rather flavorful. A small packet of fermented bean sauce with red cut chillies was given with the fish soup. It helped to enhance the taste of sliced fish by dipping into it. It was a healthier alternative for dinner. continue reading

Chao Zhou Yu Zhou is open by commercial F&B. They have a few stalls operated within Clementi Hawker Centre. Example : Emeal, Chicken Rice and Fishball Noodle. The Fish Soup Q is the longest compare to the other 3 stalls. Lunch and Dinner crowds are common sight.I'm a sensitive person when FRESHNESS is concern. The quality of the sliced fish is fishy at times. Most of the time are coooked by different workers, depending on their shifts. The stock depends totally on personal taste.Whoever went to Clementi most of the times will discover a newly open Fish Soup stall. Last Year was operated by Adam Rd Big Prawn Noodle, they've closed operation. The newly open stall fish stock is simple in taste and the sliced fish real fresh. It is a MUST try stall. Comparing to the commercial run stall, I choose the new fish soup owner. You'll know what I mean....Cheers... continue reading

The fish was indeed really fish. It was so fresh that it was succulent. The soup was so tasty, it goes so well with the rice. there was totally not bad fishy smell, everything is just so delicious! continue reading

This Teochew fish porridge is one of the stall at Clementi market that is always seen with a long queue queuing for it. Consumers have the option to choose whether we want to have the $3, $4 or $5 one. I takeaway a $3 one and they didn't even charge extra for the paper container which has their brand name printed on it. There is always a reason one this stall has such a long queue every day. Their fish porridge is so tasty. They have added fish, lettuces, dried shrimp, fried onion and it's very soupy. The fish is fresh and there's no fishy taste. Instead of soy sauce chili, try their unique garlic chili! It goes well with their fish. Overall, it's so cheap and nice that I finished the last drop of the soup. Worth the long queue. continue reading
