The soft shell crab was tasty and worth ordering a second time should we return. It has the curry sauce on it which complements the dish very well. The prawn dish is something like French toast but it is fried with prawns. Quite interesting. The tofu was so-so only. Nothing special. Last but not least, the laksa was nice but the portion is a bit small, both vermicelli-wise and the ingredients. Still I had say Thai Express is worth a visit for Thai food lovers!

A friend gave a treat at Thai Express without any special reason, he is rich man indeed. As we know, he personally fancies about Thai Cuisine, Thai Express was the place he visited often. I wanted something filling then I ordered rice. Quite an extensive choice, I took curried soft shell crab. Savoury broth poured onto dish, the overall taste was awesome. Crispy crab with finely texture, it was full of spices fragrant. Portion of rice was just nice, extra serving (Khao) was available too. Had a nice and very full lunch, we were all satisfying.

What i love about Thai Express is the various locations they have. It's usually quite convenient for me. And my all time favorite is their tom yum soup! It's pretty good for one which has many outlets. It has a good mixture of sour and spicy taste combine together! Very shiok despite making me sweat. One thing i also like about Thai Express is usually for all my visits, the ingredients are fresh which is very important. The fish slices for that night was good! For $11.30++, it didn't disappoint

This tom yam crayfish glass noodles was delicious and the portion was quite big. The tom yam soup was very flavourful, sweet and savoury in a sip. The glass noodles were smooth and springy and absorbed the tom yam soup really well. The crayfish was quite small but freshness compensated it, and the flesh was smooth and tender. After eating a tom yam dish, I decided to order a cooling mango drink. It was quite thick and creamy and has a rich mango taste.

During my last visit to Thai Express, i noticed they have a new menu. As i wanted something to go with my rice, i chose the Minced Chicken with Century Egg! I must say this is pretty good. Gravy goes well with my white rice and being a meat lover, i like that it has minced meat in it. This dish has a good combination with some vegetable, meat and egg. A very good all in one dish if you don't want to order too much

Soup is usually good at Thai Express. Fried tang hoon turns to be pretty good too. Texture and taste was just nice for me and the seafood ingredients are fresh. Will definitely be back again.

The distance between a table to another table is very near. I don’t really feel comfortable having next table so near as the conversation can be heard clearly. The staffs were busy attending to customers’ requests and orders. Despite that, the staffs still managed to respond to us quite promptly when we put up our hand to order. Iced waters are served to us while waiting for us to place an order.

The foods are served within 15 minutes time and it is still piping hot condition. I ordered Poo Phat Pong Kari @ S$12.30. It’s my all time favourite plain rice with soft shell crab, egg and onion curry. The sauce was well prepared and it blends well with the plain rice. Soft shell crab is crispy and tasty with the sauce.

My friend ordered Thai Sukiyaki Heng @S$11.30. It’s thai sukiyaki dry noodle which is superb spicy. When the noodle was served, we aren’t expecting it to be superb spicy as the appearance does not tell at all.

We also ordered ala carte to go with our main course. Kraphoa Gai Kai Yeow Maa @S$9.30. It’s stir fried minced chicken with Thai basil and century egg. This is my first time trying this dish and I am loving it. The minced chicken smells great with thai basil. The century egg was nicely cut and blend into the dish.

Tom Yum Talay @S$8.30 which is also known as tom yam seafood soup. It’s an all time favourite dish for Thai cuisine lover. Do not get deceived by it’s presentation. The soup was superb hot! I can’t take spicy stuffs so it is definitely not my choice. But my friend enjoyed it very much. He commented that the soup was strong and clear. The prawns are fresh and the fish slices taste fresh as well.

Dinner was decent and affordable price for all levels. The restaurant provides good services in terms of attending to customers’ requests and the serving time is quite fast. However, if you wish to have a chit chat after dinner, this place will not be an ideal location as the turnover is high. There is people queuing outside the restaurants waiting to dine in. The staffs will promptly clear your table once you finished your foods.

My friend and I ordered this crayfish with glass noodles. As my friend had tried this dish before, she was quite satisfied with it. As for me, it was hell! The spiciness was tolerable but I still could not stand perspiring while having my meal. The glassnoodles tortured me till the night. Since young, every time I eat glass noodles, I will suffer from indigestion. I went home, got nausea and puke some of it out, including some strawberry milkshake from Mac after that meal.

went to thai express to have lunch with friendS. the mango salad is very chilling and refreshing, the mango gives a sour and appetising flavour, and the onion gives a spicy and crunchy texture. i love the mango onions and peanut with the thai sauce. the penut bites are very nice, as i could chew the small bites of it while eating the salad. the whole salad really appetises me and i feel like ordering their other food after eating.

I went to thai express for dinner with my sister. After scanning the menu, we both decided to have the sa-nook set meals. I ordered the red chilli tom yum soup while she got herself the green curry set. We shared the both main course. My tom yum soup was pretty spicy and sour. The green curry on the other hand was much less spicy. It was pretty thick and tasty. the chicken meat was very tender and went well with rice. both sets were really good, we could not decide which was better.

i went to thai express for dinner. they were having various promotions. I decided to take up their $8.90 promotion. I took up the first set which has some tom yum soup and green curry chicken ball. I found the green curry chicken ball very unqiue. I never tasted something like that even when I went to Thailand. It was very fragrant, then they have this thai sweet chilli sauce for you to dip it in. it makes it taste even better.

i think their sa-nook menu is very affordable. I ordered red tom yum fish soup set. The tom yum soup really whets your appetite. There were a lot of fresh seafood in it as well. the soup is a little spicy, so it is best eaten with their white rice to counter the heat. it also comes with a dessert. The dessert is some coconut sago. There were atap seeds in the dessert as well. I find it pretty unique actually. It was pretty creamy and not too sweet.

Thai Express has always been our favourite restaurant for its fusion style in dishes.
We chanced upon some promotions for new items on the menu at the outlet at Junction 8 in Bishan,
The name of the new dish was interesting - Masaman Chicken Curry.
It was served with either a bowl of rice or pancakes.
There was also another recommendation - Thai fish cakes in a set of 5.

We ordered the Masaman Curry with rice and pancakes and ordered the Fish cakes as well. Of course, when the Curry arrived it smelt good and was piping hot.
However, it was just too sweet and didnt taste anything like curry at all.
It was really a letdown.
It was just better to just eat the rice on its own.

The pancakes were no better. The pancakes were very flaky and they were just like our local dish, ''Roti Prata''. It was as if these were thinner and cut into triangles.
As the pancakes were flaky, they could not absorb the gravy when dipped into it.
Verdict - it was a bad idea to try the new dish.
The Fish Cake did not impress as well.
It was soft and soggy and too sweetish as well.

Overall I guess we will stick to our menu favourites in future.
No more trying new stuff for us!

When I got the order, I saw that my fried rice didnt have prawns. so technically, it was just fried rice. I then asked the manager, and he thought that i told the waiter.. NO PRAWNS. DUH!! Seafood fried rice without prawns

Anyway, they took my order again and when I got it back, they only stuck 2 small prawns inside the rice. There weren't also a lot of other seafoods inside. The taste, it was just too spicy for me. They should have called it Chili Fried Rice.

To wash down the spiciness which surrounded my mouth, I ate their green dessert.. I dont know what its called, but its a jelly with condensed milk. It was so-so, it was warm and I would have preferred it to be cold.
