Dinner with my friends at Jcube and thai express had almost no queue at all so we went there for dinner! I ordered a fried shrimp paste rice with seafood (Khao Kluk Kapi Talay) and a bowl of white tom yum to share with my friends. Note that plain water is not complimentary. My food took 15mins to come and the tom yum took 30mins to come (after repeatedly asking for it). We saw other people who ordered after us have already gotten their food! Anyway, the friend shrimp paste rice was nice! It did

Anyway, the friend shrimp paste rice was nice! It did not disappoint me at all. It has a really nice shrimp taste to the rice as the name suggests. Add some of the given sauce and sprinkle some lime juice over it! The prawns and squids were pretty normal, thank goodness the squids didn't taste rubbery.

The white tom yum was really spicy, I would suggest that the red one would be better if your tolerance for spicy food is lower. I prefer the red one as well because it has a richer tom yum flavour than the white one. The soup contains of mushrooms, sliced fish etc.

I went to Thai Express with my girlfriend for dinner. We ordered mainly dishes to share. I saw they were kind of promoting this dish Gai Op Pattaya so we decided to order it. Gai Op Pattaya is actually Thai-style roasted chicken thigh. The chicken meat is so tender and juicy. the skin is not too oily and did not have a lot of fats. When the chicken is eaten with rice, it tasted really good. I recommend this dish.

I am always a fan of Thai Tom Yum Soup, so when I visit Thai Express, I will always ordered this to go with a plate of plain rice or their pineapple fried rice. The tom yum soup from thai express is not as addictive as the one I had from some other place. It is still decent, but to me it is lacking of the "punch" to make me want more bowls of it. Ingredients used is fresh, but portion wise is small. With a price it is selling, I was hoping the ingredients could be a little more.

I had dinner at Thai Express with a group of 5 other friends. Food: I ordered a seafood noodle soup (the last item on the soup/noodle page, I can't remember it's name). Overall, it was above average. It is moderately spicy for someone who takes spicy food. But I thought that it would have been more spicy, considering that there were three chillis on the menu.
One of my friend ordered tomyam soup with rice, and she accidentally asked for the white-based tomyam soup. She was lucky, because the white-based tomyam soup was very nice! Very spicy!! (Though only two chillis on the menu). There was a hint of lime, and when you swallow the soup, you can feel the spice burning. Perfect for spicy-food lovers!

Service:
Service was pretty prompt, but I felt the waiters/waitresses were rather cold and unfriendly. They definitely could smile more. In addition, when we asked for our glasses of water to be refilled, there was once when the waiter only refilled one of the glasses, though evidently there were other glasses that were near empty. Another time, we had to make this request more than once.

Environment:
The environment is pretty good. It wasn't noisy, so it was a good place to sit down, have a meal, and chat. We stayed there for several hours, and it wasn't very crowded, maybe because it was a weekday night.

If you are tired of having the meaty curry, you may want to try the vegetable version from Thai Express. The curry gravy is not too thick but it still remains the nice fragrant from the coconut milk and different types of spicies added to it. The vegetable in it are very fresh and crunchy. Goes really well with their fragrant thai plain rice and with their signature dipping spicy sauce too.

Pop by thai express with my group of friends to have our dinner. When we arrive it was not really pack so we manage to get our comfortable table quite fast. They have all kinds of thai cuisine on their menu, so whether you are craving for rice, noodle, tang hoon, kuay tiao, you can definitely find something you like. Their dessert is not too bad, especially their mango chewy rice. Do try it out if you still have space for dessert.
