Food here really shiok. Scrambled eggs cooked just nice — soft, not overdone, but portion a bit small. Bacon crispy and tasty, hashbrowns also power, super crunchy. Pancakes would be even better if got some butter to go with it. Overall food quality very solid, no complaints there. Only thing ah, service staff can be a bit more cheerful, then the whole experience confirm even better.Read More

This is not just any café—it feels like home. The ambience is fantastic, the food is super yummy, and the menu has so many great options. The mushroom soup is my favourite, really comforting and flavourful. Drinks are refreshing and perfect alongside the meal. Staff are attentive, kind, and make the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to!Read More

I absolutely love this café! The ambience is a solid 10/10 — stepping inside felt like wandering into a cosy little London bookstore in autumn. Warm lighting, shelves of charming books, and vintage-style décor created such a comforting vibe. Soft, soothing music played in the background, making it the perfect spot to settle in, relax, or get some work done. I felt both at home and oddly productive — a rare combination for cafés these days. This place really nails that balance of aesthetic charm and practical comfort. If you’re looking for somewhere to unwind or focus, this is the one!Read More

Definitely one of my go-to spots whenever I want to chill with a book. Love that you can even pick something off their shelves to read, just remember to return it after. The vibe here is super laid-back, making it perfect for a slow afternoon. We had the 3-egg omelette and the pancakes with fruits paired with iced coffee, and everything was satisfying and well done. Couldn’t resist taking away some of their cookies too. No photos this time but trust me, they were really yummy!Read More

We were seated at the plushy and very comfortable, well-kept booth seats. I believe this place should look really gorgeous at night with the elegant setting and lit lamps. I could totally imagine curling up here with a good book and read the hours away.Their menu consisted of a wide variety of food from different cuisine, rather interesting given that this was a western cafe (there were Asian food available for ordering).I had the Eggs Blackstone set (SGD$16.95) under All-Day-Breakfast section, consisting of English muffins, maple bacon, vegetables, poached eggs and a rosti patty. The English muffins were crispy at the side surprisingly, and the tasty slices of bacon were lean. I stabbed the egg yolk so it flowed over the meat items and rosti, adding some sweet touch to them. The rosti was not very crispy, but the potato flavor was distinctive and rather palatable.*Catherine had the Chicken and Avocado Salad (SGD$15.95) with Wafu dressing on the side - a huge salad consisting of lettuce, tomatoes, tender chicken breast pieces and fresh avocade. The tangy flavor of the wafu dressing gave the crisp-fresh salad a higher notch of deliciousness. For more detailed information and photos, do check out:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/06/brunch-at-book-cafe.htmlRead More
