The Café Lobby (Closed)

I didn't wake up in time to have breakfast at home, so I just ordered a takeaway of noodles and beehoon on my way to work. I also added this into my noodles. I am not sure what it is called, but I got it because the person at the stall recommended me to take it. The portion of noodles was quite alright and the noodles have also adequate taste. The ingredient which was recommended was also nice, I guess it taste a little like fishcake with more dimensions in its taste. This Cafe lobby outlet is one of my favourite venue to have a quick grab of fried kway teow for my breakfasts during office hours. Very prompt and attentive service is provided here. Wide range to choose from and I never feel sick eating the food here. The fried kway teow is very smooth and yummy, even though is abit too oily. The breaded sotong cake is chewy and not too oily. The price may be abit high, but because it is delicious, I would not mind to pay alittle bit more here. …Read More

We sat down and enjoyed the coffee at Cafe Lobby this morning before I going to work. No many seats available, we had to grab our seats once people standing up.I ordered 'Coffee C' whereby the coffee was mixed with evaporated milk and sugar only. I was rushing for school that morning, I had no time for breakfast so I decided to buy a packet of economic noodles from The Cafe Lobby which is just above Toa Payoh's MRT station.I wanted to buy mee hoon, unfortunately, the mee hoons have all finished, I only managed to buy a packet of fried noodles.At around 11am, everything is almost finished, including my favourite fried chicken wings. I had no choice but to take a piece of fried fish fillet.So this packet of noodles costs me about $1.50, which is very cheap.The noodles are very dark colored.I did not like it because I think too much of dark soy sauce is extremely unhealthy!!And I find it too oily too.However, the noodles were served hot, which was the same as the fillet.Hence it did not tasted so bad after all.The portion was huge, you can actually share this packet of noodles with your friend.I shall wake up earlier so that I have more choices of food to choose from!! I grabbed a simple nasi lemak takeaway for my dinner. I basically asked for rice with one fried chicken wing, cut up into 3 pieces, and ikan billis with loads of sambal chili at the side.The rice grains were crunchy, moist and nice.
