Located within the quiet serenade of Raffles Town Club, The Cafe and Terrace lounge is basked in an elegance of elegance and quiet sophistication; even the guests take care to tone down their conversation in this posh lounge that looks like it has been frozen in classic timelessness.Pity there was only one waitress on duty to take care of the entire lounge this afternoon, hence service was a little slow. Anyway, we had Black Coffee and Earl Grey Tea, basic drinks that somehow tasted better in this ambience. There was no food menu available for browsing, and if I heard the waitress correctly, there is no fixed food items on a daily basis. One has to check for what's available on a daily basis - I like the air of mystery. So we had the Club Sandwich, consisting of ham and eggs with chips on the side. As club sandwiches go, this was a rather tall / thick stack of ingredients slapped into one, held together by a long metallic pick. The flavor was quite good, and bread was soft. For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/04/afternoon-tea-at-cafe-terrace-raffles.html continue reading

We were on a staycation at Raffles Town Club which included breakfast for two at their club’s café. The husband ordered their Club Special Breakfast set consisting of bacon, scrambled eggs on toast, sautéed mushrooms, garden vegetables and baked beans. A pretty decent and hearty meal to kick start the day. My husband especially liked the streaky bacon as it was quite crispy and flavourful. I order the Eggs Benedict with asparagus on Rye Toast. The Eggs Benedict was nicely prepared and presented. I particularly enjoyed the Rye Toast as it was soft and easy on the palate, not those dry and hard types we commonly find around other cafes. continue reading

when i went with my friend, they having promotion,Those with citibank card user will have additional discount we think was quite worth so ordered a few food to try Calamari rings- the calamari was bland but quite chewylamb shank - was quite surprised asI’m not a huge fan of braised lamb shanks because they usually end up tasting quite similar. This one was nice, rich & more importantly, it was ridiculously tender yet flavourful at the same timeOverall i rate 8/10 continue reading
