Introduction
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has grown into one of the largest privately-owned, family-run coffee and tea companies in the world. Along the way, The Bean, as it is affectionately known, has become the model for a successful coffee and tea company. The coffee is roasted fresh daily in small batches in a manual European roast style, then packed using state-of-the-art equipment for shipment in the roasting facility and delivered fresh daily to the stores. continue reading

Hello foodies ! Some familiar brand, yet not familiar food in the store. In the MBS outlet, there are some main dishes, which include squid ink pasta ! Let's go ! I ate squid ink pasta (about $26++) for the second time, and I have to say that this is rather a little disappointing, as I would expect the squid ink taste to be a little stronger, rather than having quite a sweet pasta flavour which is caused by the cherry tomatoes, but I still finish it all. LOL. As its the most expensive pasta in the shop, apparently squid ink are expensive.Usually in western restaurant, steak is the most common dish to order. For Coffee bean, their steaks are about $20? Which is about the price of Hot Tomato. Their steaks are quite alright, just a little to old as their meat is not really juicy, and usually I would recommend "well done" instead of "medium rare" as it will taste better, somehow.Lastly, what my family ordered, and the lobster linguine might be the most worth it one ! Cause its real good, and no its not truffles fries but normal fries. hahahs ! continue reading

Back at one of my favorite hangouts of late again - Coffee Bean's Beanstro at Marina Bay Sands. There is something alluring about sitting by the canal, especially calming and tranquil when the fountain doesnt roar. I always have a favorite spot there,Anyway, the food of the day was Seafood Fettucine (SGD$25.00) - a delicious (surprisingly) pasta whipped in tomato sauce laced with some chilli padi bits. I simply love sweet tangy mix. The portions of seafood was generous as well - scores of prawn, scallops and mussels. The texture of the fettucine was just right too - not too soggy and not too hard, retaining a nice bounce to it.For desserts and drinks, we had Sunrise (orange juice basically) and my Red Velvet Hot Chocolate (I very much prefer the original Double Hot Chocolate with marshmallows from them). As for cakes, we chose the Green Tea Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cake. The former was rich like a cream dream, layered with fluffy chiffon layer and resplendent of the sweet aroma of green tea. The latter was a little dry, but the distinct cream cheese flavor was nicely present. For my previous reviews on Beanstro, please feel free to visit here and there.for current full review, please visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/11/lunch-at-tea-leaf-beanstro-mbs-revisit.html continue reading

While at MBS, there was many restaurants to dine at, but most of them were either too crowded or out of my budget.I decided to dine in at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf . I did not know that this branch had a larger spread of menu than other branches. I ordered the beef stew. The beef stew came with 3 slices of bread which I think was too few and will not fill my stomach. The beef stew was well braised with the tomato gravy. The slightly fatty beef meat was tender and soft to chew on. I think some of the the vegetables were not stew together with the beef meat, it was hard and crispy. Overall, the beef stea tasted good, though I would prefer they included more slices of bread. continue reading

Theresa n me meet up earlier at MBS and we decide to ease our coffee craving at the Coffee Bean café that is located next to the fountain at MBS, they have both indoor seatings and "outdoor" seatings... thou the seats are located outdoor, but do not worry, they are not hot as it is still within the shopping mall and thus air-conditioned..they have this system installed on all their tables, the staffs came to us almost immediately when we press on the button to get their attention and service..I ordered a cup of latte. The latte here is nice, strong coffee taste and well balanced of milk and coffee. The milk did not cover the taste of the coffee but enhance the taste.Theresa had cappuccino and she commented that its nice and strong coffee taste too..I find that this place is great for friends gathering and the staffs here are quite nice and polite too.. continue reading

I was at MBS with my friend a few days back and we went looking for a place to sit down and catch up with one another. We came to this cafe, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and ordered french toast with maple syrup as our high tea. The presentation of the food makes the dish look really good. And i gotta say the french toast is delicious! i really like the texture. usually i will not have high expectations on food at such cafe as they are usually very average. and this french toast has proven me wrong. continue reading
