Introduction
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has grown into one of the largest privately-owned, family-run coffee and tea companies in the world. Along the way, The Bean, as it is affectionately known, has become the model for a successful coffee and tea company. The coffee is roasted fresh daily in small batches in a manual European roast style, then packed using state-of-the-art equipment for shipment in the roasting facility and delivered fresh daily to the stores. continue reading

Immediately after collecting my Coffeebean card from Openrice Office, I started utilising the card for coffee fix. Thank you Openrice. I'm quite a regular Starbucks patron but because they do not have Black Forest, thus Coffee Bean became my saviour for Black Forest.Ordered a small Black Forest ($6.50) and a slice of Tiramisu ($6.00) to accompany me for the afternoon while cracking my brain on assignment. The reason for loving their Black Forest is because other than in blended form, it has a little sweet taste even if it tastes nothing special like any ice-blended coffee. And there is a cherry in it to end with. Perfectly sweet. It seems to give you the feeling of having a slice of black forest cake in blended form. But one minus point is a little watery. It might be the first time I had a slice of Tiramisu on my own and I'm loving it. It is soft and makes me wanna finish it at one go because every mouthful that melts in mouth is full of the cocoa flavoured cake. It is really a pick-me up dessert on a hot sunny Friday. Once awhile, is nice to have the perfect combination I have gotten myself. continue reading

This piece of cake may look really simple and plain, but the taste of it is simply very appetitizing and also make you want to crave for more after you have completed the first piece. The reddish colour is quite similar to the dark chocolate flavour, except is more fragrant and not too sweet too. The topped creamy cheese is very smooth, fragrant and blend in really well with the velvet cake sponge. Go along with a cup of their signature coffee or tea will simply be even better as well. continue reading

Originally planned on having coffee at a different place, but it was just too crowded. So, my friend and I just walked at Orchard Road and saw that Coffee Bean at The Forum Mall still had tables for the two of us. So, we decided to end our coffee there. My friend ordered the Hazelnut drink, while I had the Caramel Frappe. I should have gone for another beverage for mine was a bit too sweet. I had to keep on drinking water so as to wash off the sweet sugar in my mouth. Though my drink was too sweet, I still enjoyed my visit there because it had a relaxed and cozy ambiance. There weren't a lot of people there on a Saturday night, which is quite surprising since coffee shops in Orchard are always packed. The baristas also were very accommodating and didn't push me to order my drink right away. continue reading

I am personally a huge yogurt fan. Now that Coffee Bean serves frozen yogurt too, it is something that I ordered and will order over and over again. Last Saturday night saw me over at Coffee Bean @ Forum. It was a chill out Saturday night and while my friends ordered cakes and ice blended coffees, I had a total of 2 large cups and one small cup of Classic Tart frozen yogurt all to myself. Coffee Bean's frozen yogurt is not quite available at every coffee bean outlet yet. The yogurt is frozen, creamy and naturally sour in a positive and pleasant way. Prefer the Tart over the Vanilla as to me, it seems like the Vanilla yogurt(sweet) tastes more like vanilla soft-serve ice-cream. Also goes really well with the cinnamon powder sprinkle from the self-help condiments station. Coffee Bean, anytime. continue reading
