Ordered their Eggs Tom. Something different from the usual all day breakfast menu. Baked tomatoes dices with cheese on their crispy toast. The tomatoes were so juicy and sweet with tinge of sour note. Paired with some rocket salads and creamy runny scrambled eggs. It cant get any better than this! A light yet refreshing dish to your taste buds! Definitely did not disappoint me!

All-Day Breakfast

Had the Caffe Latte ($5.50) which I heard was nice, and Honey Con Leche ($6.50) which tasted much like milk tea, with a litte honey taste in it. Not really my cup of drink though.
If you are one of those alcoholic lover, the rest of their specialty drinks should be in your order-list!
Scramb It! ($16.90), having scrambled eggs, pork bratwurst, honey baked ham, toasts, roasted tomato and mesclun. Scrambled eggs seems to have been left out of the pan for some time already, though it is still mushy.. But I do love their toasts, as they are crispy on the outside, and soft in the inside

Next is Cajun Spiced Chicken ($14.00), having boneless chicken thigh, mesclun and spicy bbq sauce. Dish presentation looks pretty neat, and cajun chicken is tasty too. But rice is tasteless…
Also had the Old School Bun ($6.50), which is just omelette with ham, and a little of mayonnaise.. Simple bun, yet satisfying.
Food has no "oom" factor, though the sausage and cajun chicken meat itself can be quite tasty. Moreoever, food took quite some time to arrive even though tables weren't even half-filled after I ordered the food. Drinks took some 10 minutes or so to arrive as well. But generally, this place can be a nice cafe for some old school essence

After our lunch at a cafe in Jalan Besar area, my friend and I hop over to this cafe for coffee! I ordered a Flat White while my friend had a Hot Mocha. The cafe had a few empty seats around and most of the patrons were having lunch/brunch. When our drinks arrive, I expected some coffee art but there were none. I was quite disappointed and taste wise, it was pretty average. One good thing is that our coffee came with a delicious cookie! I might come back here again to try their food!

Came to this cafe to catch up with a few of my friends.norwegian salmon with egg.The salmon is good! However the egg is abit too runny to my liking. Maybe poached egg should be used instead, or scrambled egg will be better! Overall, i will give this dish a 3/5 starThe coffee taste like nestle coffee to me, although it is cheap (SGD $3.90), i would not specially come here for the coffee.

Pass by this restaurant and decided to have my dinner here due to its quiet environment. Have a cup of their Espressos (at $2.90) which the coffee fragrant is really nice and its more towards the bitter taste. I have also bought the Herb-Crusted Salmon, which the salmon fish is quite generous in portion. The salmon meat is also very fresh and soft too. The herb taste on the salmon certainly has enhance the taste, which no stingy smell can be found on the salmon. Service was alright as well.

Walking into the cafe, the counter caught my eye with some of the menu written on the chalk board all over which gives an old-fashioned feel. Not only that, the old chime clock hanging on the wall as well as empty coffee bean sacks hanging above adds to the overall rustic feel and ambiance of the cafe.

The feel of the cafe is very different from CSHH as the interior is very quaint with brick walls and Victorian-style looking lamps on the wall. The tables, chairs and flooring has a brown colour theme which makes it very warm and cozy. Seating on the sofa by glass panels facing the little road with a book is surely one of the simple pleasures in life you can enjoy which takes your mind away to a different world while sipping on your coffee.

Since I was here for the first time, the friendly staff recommended me to go for their speciality coffee, the Honey Con Leche ($6.50). Sounds like a mouthful isn't it? In actual fact, it is simply cafe latte with a dose of honey. The coffee has a rich yet milky aroma with a smooth and long finish with a tinge of honey after taste. This is perfect for those who do not like bitter roasted coffee and wanted something not too overpowering sweet.

Pumping up on protein after some workout, I had the Swedish Meatballs ($14.90) which was one of their signature. Made using 100% beef, it is served along side with some baked potatoes and salad. Nicely sprinkled with sea salt and herbs, it enhances the flavour of of the beef balls with a refreshing flavour. The meatballs itself doesn't have a beefy taste and the texture was a little dry and tough to the bite although I hope that it can be even more succulent and springy.
Nevertheless, the portion was just right for an adult.

Throughout my lunchtime there, only another table was occupied by a couple and the place was quiet. It would be nice if they can have some soft music to brighten up the atmosphere. Overall, the food is only average but the coffee is good. If you're looking for an alternative cafe for coffee around Lavender, The Coffee Shot will be giving you a run for your money compared to the overrated CSHH that is always crowded.
