When I was at The House Chungdam, the service really stood out! The staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy. They knew the menu well and helped with recommendations, which made the whole meal flow smoothly. The atmosphere felt modern and clean, with warm lighting that made the place cozy but still stylish. It wasn’t too loud or busy, so I could really enjoy my food and conversation in a relaxed setting. Definitely a comfortable spot for a casual yet refined Korean meal.Read More

Walked into on Duxton Road and was surprised lah. Elegant interior mix of hanji textures and stone gives a quiet upscale Seoul‑neighbourhood vibe, but still relaxed. the staff helped us to grill the ribs we ordered from the set meal and it was grilled to perfection. Read More

Dropped by The House Chungdam at Duxton for dinner and it was a great experience from start to finish. The space feels stylish but still welcoming,  definitely more refined than your average Korean BBQ spot.We tried the house feast , which is a sharing set with premium cuts of beef. The meats were super fresh, well-marbled, and grilled perfectly by the staff. The boneless short rib, in particular, was juicy and full of flavour,  honestly one of the better ones I’ve had.For sides, we added the chicken and green onion jeon, and that was a surprise hit. Crisp on the outside, tender inside, and nicely balanced with the scallions. it also wasn’t oily or heavy like some pancakes can get. Great to snack on between bites of grilled meat. The was also comforting and rich. The stew had a good depth of flavour, not too sour, and was packed with tofu, pork belly, and kimchi. Served with rice and sides, it made for a hearty solo set that really hit the spot.Service was smooth throughout — staff were friendly, helpful, and really attentive without hovering. It’s a little pricier than regular Korean joints, but totally worth it for the quality, service, and overall experience.Definitely a great place to dine in, totally will visit again next time with my family!Read More

Had dinner at The House of Chungdam along Duxton Road the other night, and wow… it really left a good impression. The vibe is great — dim lights, sleek interior, not too noisy. It feels like one of those places you’d go for a date or a chill birthday dinner with close friends. The staff were super warm and attentive without being over the top — one of them even took the time to explain the dipping sauces to us, which was a nice touch.Food-wise, the beef tartar was the one I keep thinking about. It’s so well-seasoned, soft, and paired with these seaweed crisps that gave it a nice crunch. Really addictive. We also tried their cold buckwheat noodles, which was surprisingly so good and refreshing but could be a little bland for some But you must try their potato cheese jeon. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but it was crispy. The ooey cheese inside and crispy potato on the outside. Cheesy, savoury, and surprisingly light. Definitely a must-order if you're into cheesy things.Drinks-wise, we had korean plum tea (thanks to the staff’s rec) and it went down smooth, not too sweet. Felt like a good match for everything we ate. It’s not cheap but more of a “treat yourself” spot, but for the food, service, and whole experience, I’d say it’s worth it if you’re in the mood to splurge a little.Would I go back? Yes haha maybe next time for a birthday dinner or when I want to impress someone. Read More
