I just ended my lunch and the line and here is my reviews! I must say is awesome, I got a free birthday too due to my birthday. It was totally a surprise for me. here is their super delicious prawn noodles. The soup based was really nice. Thick prawn taste. I didn't tried the laksa but my friend said it was equally nice too. The prawns and salmon was nice too. I particularly like the dessert session; which includes cakes (with a variety of choices for you to choose from), ice cream and crepes.

The prawns and salmon was nice too. I particularly like the dessert session; which includes cakes (with a variety of choices for you to choose from), ice cream and crepes. There was a drink sessions which other buffet don't have or you will have to get your own drink, however, this drink stall only have hot drink and there was a waitress mending the stall. Well, there is a lot of better food. And their service was also awesome, every staff was smiling no matter which corner of the restaurant you are. No wonder they are listed as the top 5 restaurant for buffet in Singapore.
I had booked online in advance hence I get to enjoy a 25% discount from the original price. so each person costs around $45.

We were seated promptly upon arrival. There’s huge food variety , I was too much busy eating and my hands stained from the delicious lobsters etc. Only finally got to clean them to snap photos of the equally huge variety of desserts.

Full The Line Shangri-La review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2013/06/the-line-shangri-la.html

The Line Shangri-La / The Line Buffet Restaurant @ Shangri-La Hotel truely embodies the concept of 'International Buffet Spread'. With 16 theatre kitchens offering dishes from major Asian and Western cuisines, a spread of fresh seafood and an extensive range of desserts, the biggest problem you'll face at the The Line Shangri-La is knowing where to start, and where to stop.

Ambience at The Line Shangri-La / The Line Buffet Restaurant @ Shangri-La Hotel is modern and contemporary, with furnishings and layouts designed by famed American interior designer Adam D. Tihany. Actual decor is minimal though. But importantly, the layout of the 16 theatre kitchens is rather orderly, and accessing or finding a particular station is easy. The open concept adds to the overall ambience of the place, and the area is very well ventilated, with little lingering smell of cooking, thus making The Line Shangri-La one of the better buffets for ambience in Singapore.

Food at The Line Shangri-La / The Line Buffet Restaurant @ Shangri-La Hotel is excellent. Ingredients used are fresh, and the majority of dishes I had were tasty. Range is extensive, with cuisines from Japan, India, China, Southeast Asia and Italy. Over 100 different types of dishes are represented here, and well over 30 different desserts. You'll never be able to finish eating everything in a single visit, which makes The Line Shangri-La / The Line Buffet Restaurant @ Shangri-La Hotel one of the few buffets worth multiple repeat visits. Furthermore, the spread changes slightly everyday, with different dishes available on each day.

All this comes at a price, as dining at The Line Shangri-La / The Line Buffet Restaurant @ Shangri-La Hotel is quite expensive. Without any promotions, expect to pay about SGD $50 - $90 per person, depending on whether you're eating breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The drink is filled with gracious Thai flavours of lemongrass, lime, chillis, mint leaf etc. A sophisticated ways to bring out the sweetness, tangy and hot (spicy) all in a drink. Spicy but very morish, it leave your taste buds tingling in expectation.

- Khaotang Nga Thong (fried rice crackers and assorted chutneys)

Fried rice crackers was served with 3 Thai chutneys. The condiment in a bowl is made of pork and prawn, a little sweet and wet. The next condiment is made of salted egg, obviously it will b salty but not overly. Last but not least, Thai chili jam with tamarind is detectable yet mild. The assorted chutneys offer a delicious combination of sweet, salty and spicy to the crackers.

- Lab Gai
The small stature has a deep and relatively spicy savory flavours that mingle beautifully with a fresh taste of mint leaf. Wrapped with thinly slice cucumber that add a little crunch and cooling effect to the palate.

- Yam Woon Sen
The glass noodles absorb the spicy, sour and salty flavour very nicely. It's more pungent than the other food, at the same time refreshing.

- Yam Som O
Pomelo sections bursting with juice, savory dried prawns balanced with bright flavor notes from lime and tamarind, and finished with the satisfying scent and crunch of shallot flakes. The salad offers a delicious combination of sweet, salty, sour, spicy and a tad bitterness (from the pomelo) as minor accents to the flavours.

- Kaeng Khiew Wan Gai (green curry with chicken and eggplant)

Fragrant spices to create a rich creamy green curry with chunks of tender chicken and eggplant. Thou it was a little too salty, it was still delicious with a mild curry flavour.

A sweet, creamy and slightly salty coconut cream complement the sweet mango and sticky rice very well.

The Line needs no further introduction. The oysters are excellent as always without having a really strong brine taste. What I tasted was sweetness. The sashimi is great as well because they are finely cut. If you like, you can also ask for salmon belly and they will gladly oblige. The dessert spread is also good with lots of different kuehs and cakes. There's also some kind of mixed ice cream stand where you pick out the ice cream flavours and toppings before they mix it up for you. Delicious.

One of the best buffets in Singapore; their international food spread over here is amazing! From fresh seafood like Alaskan crab, Oysters, prawns to their Italian station with al dente pastas, to Chinese stir frys, noodle soup and so on, you are loss for choice over here! I came to Shangri-la on a weekday afternoon and was surprised at how packed The Line was! Seriously, where do these people get so much free time to have an indulgent buffet lunch on a weekday? You can tell from the fluffiness of the bread that it's been freshly made and it becomes very fragrant when you toast-press it into a panini. They were generous with the chicken filling but I thought it didn't really stand out much. Their fries were really crispy though, even after letting it sit inside the takeaway bag for a while. However, the service here was rather snobbish and made me not feel like coming back again.

The line at shangrila is my one and only frequented buffet place! It has a fantastic spread of food, while mataining a consistently high quality. The sashimi is great and very fresh, being kept in a chiller and sliced to order. The oysters are also very good being shucked to order! The dessert section also deserves special mention for its wide variety of sweet treats!

The roast duck is to die for, there was no bones at all so it was so easy to enjoy this dish. the skin was not fatty and oily too. my parents did say the dim sum was good. the choices of the dim sum do change from time to time so if you check out that counter often, you may actually try out various kinds of exquisite dim sum. it was a great experience for the family. i urge those who want to treat the family to bring them here!

The environment there is considered vibrant and noisy as there are lots of movement around. There is a slight queue at the Asian delights like fish ball noodles soup as the staff has to cook the noodles on the spot. Clear signages are available for diners to locate their food and proper labellings are placed at each specific dish.

MUST TRY dishes will be SEAFOOD + PASTRIES!

Pastries are intricately designed and refilled at regular intervals for all diners to enjoy.

Strongly recommended place for buffet lovers!
