Signature Dishes
This place is quite secluded and can be hard to find although there is a signboard along the shophouse building that faces the main road. When you first enter the cafe, it has a nice atmosphere where it feels cozy and homely. There are quite a number of seats and it can be quite packed. The prices are quite pricey but nearly affordable. My friend and I went for the pancakes and also waffles. The pancakes were really good, I believe it was the apple and cinnamon one. The cinnamon was not over powerng and you could still taste the apple. The sauce was not too sweet. I went for the waffles which was really common and typical. If given another visit, I will go for the pancakes instead. The place isn't too noisy. It is very unique with all the wooden staircases and all. The place is really nice and bright and worth a visit. The service is also pretty ok. I enjoyed my time there.

This was at the end of Smith Street on the second floor. I wouldn't have stumbled on this place except on a friend's recommendation. It was a lazy Saturday afternoon and the sweltering heat outside was just forcing us indoors.I decided to get myself a fish and chips. The batter was well, oily. But in spite of that, it was a nice crisp shell with creamy dory fillet encased within. The wedges were thick cut and addictive but only good when hot. while he got the house burger. done medium. the caramelized onions were yum! but because the patty was well done instead of what we wanted, it was a little dry. The patty was thick though and I could taste the meat juices. The bun was nicely toasted. Soft on the inside. Perfect with melty cheese.and i happened to drop my knife midway into my meal. I was all prepared to continue eating without the help of a knife but in just moments, the attentive waitress brought me a replacement. boy, was i impressed!

The environment of the Loft cafe is quite shiok, not too cluttered, and good for small groups. But we went with 7 people and they had to rearrange furniture for us. The Plain waffle was AWESOME i like the delicate taste in it. Plus added the maple syrup it becomes really a delicacy. The banana choc waffle I felt was not as nice as the plain waffle because the chocolate and the banana covered the nice waffle on its own. The shibuya toast looked very good. the decoration and the colours is very nice. and the taste is wow. The toast flew off the plate.

Have always wanted to try the waffles at the loft cafe whenever i walked pass to go to the lomography shop. The waffles consist of a scoop of vanilla ice cream with banana slices and almond flakes on a hot waffle drizzled with chocolate. The portion is enough for 2 to share. Was disappointed that the waffles are too dry although crispy, it seems that they left with waffles in the waffle maker for too long. Their pancakes are so much better!

Decided to pop by The Loft Cafe after accompanying a friend to collect her films at Lomography.I was immediately attracted to the light and space and all. The kind of place that people would want to linger. The Loft Cafe is located on the 2nd level and on the 3rd level they have a function room called Mo.Xa.Ic Room which can host up to 70 people. It is also fully equipped with audio visual equipment! Nutty Banana Waffle - $8.00 (3/5)It was mid day when we reached the cafe. Nothing better than some desserts to perk us up! Bananas taste good with anything, but the waffles on the other hand was nothing to shout about, and it was not as warm as we expected.Shibuya Toast - $8.50 (3/5)Came to know that their Shibuya Toast is one of their signature dishes so we just had to order it! The presentation of the Shibuya Toast was so visually appealing that the both of us did not bear to eat it. Ah, but the taste was so-so. My friend and I spent almost 4 hours there without ordering anything else and the waitress was kind enough to constantly refill our water. The ambiance of the cafe more than makes up for its average food. It is a great place to sit and catch up with friends for hours without being pressured to leave.
