I tried this new dessert with my child at mahanttan fish co. It consists of 2 scoops of vanilla icecream with apple sauce and lots of crumble at the bottom. It is so yummy that my child finish up almost half the cup within minutes, leaving only a little bit for me. Will come back and try other desserts in our next visit. It's true when people say don't takeaway Fish 'N Chips. Just eat it straight at the restaurant. My Fish 'N Chips was soggy after 30 minutes.There was a $3.99 promotion for one set of Fish 'N Chips, and each person is entitled to 2 sets maximum. I got one Fish 'N Chips & Grilled Glory Dory.Fries and fish wasn't outstanding as it was soggy already. Only if I dined in at the restaurant, this might taste a lot better, with the fries and fish being hot and crispy. It consists of the Manhattan Flaming Prawns with grilled dory fillet on a bed of Garlic Herb rice, chips and veggies. The prawns were really succulent and nice. I like to come here to have the small grill, the dory fish is fresh and delicious and come with variety items inside the plate! Manhattan Fish Market (MFM) is a good place to go if you are looking for nice and affordable seafood! I was there one evening with my friends and after walking 1 round around Bugis +, we decided to head to MFM for dinner.I ordered the Chicken of Liberty and Manhanttan Fish and Chips to share with my friend. I also ordered a potato salad for appetizer.The Chicken of Liberty came strongly recommended and thus holding high expectations, I bite into the chicken with bright eyes (and a hungry belly). To my dismay, it’s not as nice as I thought. The meat is quite hard to chew on. The sauce that came with it is a nice complement for the chicken.Needless to say, the fish and chips were tasty. Nothing can go wrong if you use fresh fish and fry it at the right time and heat. The same goes for the potato salad. Awesome.The staffs were also quite attentive. When a waiter noticed that we just about used up all the paper napkins, he suddenly passed us another wad of serviettes. It was a wonderful Friday, decided to walk to somewhere further for lunch with my colleagues. Happened to see this huge poster at Manhattan Fish Market promoting their lunch deal at $19.90 for 2 mains and 2 soups. The queue was rather long but the serving time was surprising fast. Chanced upon the good lunch deal at Manhattan Fish Market and went there with colleagues. You can get two main courses and two soups at 19.90, quite worth it. They served minestrone soup that day, it was very yummy with the sour and spicy taste. Love the soup there! Ordered the grilled fish set, it comes with rice and some greens. The grilled fish was very fresh, it did not have any fishy smell at all. Squeezing some lemon on the fish made it even more delicious. The chilli sauce which came with it was a very good complement. It was a rainy Thursday night & I've met up with some hungry friends for dinner. We were starving & figured why not just dine at The Manhattan Fish Market? Besides, it never goes wrong. For starters, a few of us decided to share some Potato Salad ($2.95), Fruits Salad ($2.95) and Cheeesy Chips ($4.95). These basically opened up our appetite because they are so good! Some of us also were served the Cream of Mushroom which is part of the meal upgrade ($5.90) that comes with a drink, and it is quite worth it because the soup is one of the things to be remembered at this restaurant. Our mains came soon after we were almost done with our appetizers. I was glad that I've ordered my triple treats' Scallops Fish Chicken ($17.95) which was awesome with the spicy sauce. My friends were also happy with their Chicken of Liberty ($13.95) and Fish & Chips ($11.95). Although the Chicken Marinara ($13.95) was served later than expected waiting time, the staff was polite in apologizing on behalf of the kitchen & served it hot later on. Oh to add on, here's our receipt with at a super nice price. My all time favorite from Manhattan Fish Market gotta be their fish & chips (dory). It is cheap and yummy! The skin is very crispy and the fish inside is tender and soft, without the fishy smell. Taste perfectly good with the tar tar sauce. I will request chilli sauce from them too. Although the dish was served hot, but the ingredient such as the prawn and squid were small and the serving was miserable, as compared to the one show in their menu. Cream of mushroom is thick and rich. It is not watery at all and there is a strong taste of mushroomDory squid pasta is nice and special. The squid is chewy and the fish is tender!
