The New World, an alternative dinning place that is situated in NTU North Spine, offers a wide range of Malaysian delights. After hesitating for quite some time, I decided to try out this Kong Bao Chicken. It's served in a claypot such that it can retain heat and one can savour the dish longer. It's served with chicken, dry red chilli, some vegetable and cooked in their speciality Kong Bao sauce that makes it delicious. The sauce is not too salty and taste really good. You can ask for an extra bowl of rice to go with it at only $0.50, or you can just savour it without any rice. Overall, its a thumbs-up! continue reading

I went back to school during school holiday to print settle some stuff. Hence, i decide to dine there too. I choose to eat dumpling that come with free tea egg and porridge. Well, this isn't the best I had ever eaten but it wasn't the worse. I like the tea egg but the porridge taste weird. It is bland but they added bean in it which make terrible. The dumpling is slightly salty and hence, you will need to eat with the porridge. It costs me $4.50 in total and there are a lot of choices for their dumplings. continue reading

I find that the portion is too small for me. The lady scooped up too much shrimp along with the soup and thus it doesn't look appetitizing and had too much of that shrimp-y taste. it was moderately spicy to me and I like it. I still prefer the laksa that was sold at the old stall. A pity it had closed down. This laksa is enough to satisfy my cravings though. I'll be back for more. continue reading
