brought a bowl of the pontian wanton noodle for lunch. First of all, the seasoning is pretty well done as the chili is hot and spicy, slightly oily and not that salty. Next the noodle is well cooked and is not stick together. As for the deep fried wanton, it has a slight crispiness and the filling is quite little. The sliced char siew is sliced into thin slices and have a slight tender texture. Lastly, the wanton soup is quite bland and comes with 2 small wanton. Apart from wanton noodle, this s

I ordered the curry chicken noodles from old pontian cafe. I found their curry chicken a little milky. it was not too spicy actually. for the chicken, it was an entire chicken wing which comprise of the drumlet, mid joint and the end. the chicken was very tender and juicy. it went well with the yellow noodles. the yellow noodles was pretty yummy, did not have the strong yellow noodles taste. it was not bad in fact.

It was a pretty cold weather and i was mysteriously extremely hungry. I not only ordered a large size wanton mee dry, i still top up $3 to order a plate of fried wanton. For $3, they really gave quite a lot of fried wanton. The wanton was very crispy, they served it along side a mayo dip. It was a great combination, the mayo and fried wanton. The wanton noodles was really good, huge portion. I like it dry with chilli. the noodles was very springy and does not stick to the teeth. it was very fill

The wanton mee at Old Pontian comes in two sizes, small or large. You can also choose if you want soup or dry, chilli or non chilli. I ordered their large size noodles, opted for dry without chilli. The portion of the large size bowl was just enough for me. the amount of noodles they gave was really a lot. They added dark sauce to my noodles. The black sauce made my noodles taste really tasty despite not having the chilli flavor. the char siew were sliced thinly. they also added a lot of vegetab

The ipoh hor fun at old pontian is really delicious. The portion is a little too large for me. I like the hor fun, it is very chewy and smooth. The hor fun gravy is very thick and tasty. it is not too salty as well. there were a lot of ingrdients, plenty of vegetables so it is very healthy. I like the shredded chicken they added to the ipoh hor fun, even though it did not have much flavor, but when eaten with the gravy, it taste absolutely delicious.

i went to old pontian at lot one for lunch. The seatings there are quite limited and with the lunch time crowd, it took me a while to get a seat. I ordered their small sized wanton mee dry. the portion is just right for me. for those bigger appetite, I strongly advice you to order the large portion cos it may not be enough for you. After walking for some time, my girlfriend and I were feeling tired and hungry. We started looking for places where we can sit down and rest our aching legs and have something light to eat. It was bite size. They provided mayo for you to dip the wanton into. It was very delicious and satisfying.

After dropping by at the in-laws place, we headed to lot one for a meal. Was craving for wanton noodles so headed to old pontian to satisfy that crave. I ordered the smaller bowl while my hubby got the bigger one. Their wanton mee comes in two sizes. I prefer their dry non spicy one. The gravy is so tasty. It is not too salty but goes really well with the noodle. Their noodles are very QQ and springy. Very delicious. They have two kinds of wanton, the fried kind and the soup kind and you get to

i love the popiah at old pontian lot 1. The popiah is so juicy and the skin is very moist not dry at all. I ordered less chilli and it was good. the chili taste did not musk the sweet sauce taste. The ingredients they used were quite a lot as well. However the only down side is the wait for the popiah is really long cos there is only one chef handling the popiah station. But it is worth the wait!

It has been a while since I saw kumquat juice being sold in Singapore. I was walking along the basement of choa chu kang lot 1 shopping mall and I notice this crowded little eating place selling the drink in their refridgerator. I walked in and bought the drink. You can even see a sour plum inside the drink. It does not taste very sweet or sour. I simply love it!

I was thinking of getting some snacks for afternoon tea and so here I am with this tasty popiah. This stall is generous with its popiah fillings but I find the popiah skin a bit thick. It is very nicely wrapped and the filling does not spill out when picked up. It costs $2.50 for a roll of popiah. Quite expensive but worth it for its size. It contains parsley and some people may not like it for its strong taste. You can ask them not to add it, but I'm often lazy to do so.
