At pine garden, people always instagram and cam whore with their cakes, but let us not forgret that they sell common sausage hot dog buns and typical baked goodies Here's what the glorious cake display looks like. OMG don't you just want to try them all? I wish cakes were calorie-free, I'd munch them 24/7! Pine Garden is famous for their alcoholic cakes like lychee martini or baileys choco crunch, and their normal buttercream cakes like the traditional traffic light cakes that you see everywhere at HDB bakeries. HDB bakeries charge anywhere betwee $1-$1.40, but Pine garden charges $1.80, 40 cents premium for a bakery in AMK hub and for the pine garden name.for $3, this blackforrest cake is quite delicious, thick and generously filled with fruits and buttercream, if you order only one cake, it will be packed in this transparent plastic box.So I got some more to go, and lychee martini is my favourite but at $3 a piece, it's kind of steep, for a HDB bakery, but oh well! Singaporeans seem to be more and more willing to pay more for random stuff, but it does taste good there's maybe one slice of lychee embedded in the swiss roll, the chocolate rice cake at $1.20 is probably the most affordable cake they sell that I truly appreciate from a HDB down stairs bakery. The traffic light cake has alot of buttercream at $1.80 it's slightly overpriced but their buttercream is addictive.. With all that said, I'd rather pay $3 for a lychee martini than $10 for some rainbow with artificial dyes that could harm me..   continue reading
