Introduction
A plain jane may be known as being unadorned or unembellished. Food enjoyed simply with fresh flavors that compliment each other, without much additions, is true goodness. The Plain Jane wants to share her love for simple, true love for food and lifestyle. Full review: http://nkikichua.blogspot.sg/2016/04/the-plain-jane-serangoon-singapore.htmlFeaturing the not so plain (and probably not so cheap) swiss rolls such as Earl Grey and Thai Milk Tea [$5.90 each]. The flavours were delicate yet instinctive and I love the texture of the rolls – soft, dense and compliments the cream within. Whereas, Matcha swiss roll turned out milky when I preferred mine slightly bitter or sweet hence this is not to my liking as compared to the other two. This would satisfy you milky matcha lovers though! The rolls can be paired with a list of tea blend, and I got the Lychee Konnyaku. A great drink for palette cleansing if you are having more than one rolls and it’s also a great excuse to chill out in the cosy atmosphere.  continue reading

Full review up on http://www.nahmj.com/2016/01/10/the-plain-jane-cafe-a-cafe-of-swiss-roll-serangoon-singapore/Plain Jane? It is such an unfitting name. There isn't anything unattractive about the Plain Jane Cafe, from the decoration to the swiss rolls. The Swiss Roll at the Plain Jane Cafe is a must. 4 flavours of Swiss Roll; Original (Vanilla), Chocolate, Raspberry and Matcha. My favourite is the Raspberry, followed by the Matcha and lastly Chocolate. Each swiss roll has lots of cream so if you like cream, you like the cake.Lastly, staff were friendly though service was a little slow. continue reading
