This was my first time dining in Soup Spoon! This restaurant serves a wide variety of soup ranging from thick and creamy to clear light broth. In this restarant, everything is self service as you have to find your seats first before placing your order at the cashier.I ordered this chicken soup which comes with a bun too! The chicken soup is fragrant, clear and tastes delicious. The soup consists of pieces of chicken, carrot and vegetables. It is a light and hearty meal, great if you just want to have something small! The bun is soft and nice too! Overall, the soup tastes delicious and i will come back again to try other soup   continue reading

I'm usually not a big fan of mushroom but this is an exception. Soup spoon serves healthy and nutritious soup that makes the world go wow! This velvety mushroom soup consists of several types of wild mushrooms and it's thick and creamy. What's so good about it is that you will not get sick of drinking it. One mouth of it and you would want more! It also comes with a bread of your choice to go along with I'm definitely going back to try more of their flavours! Eat clean and be happy! continue reading

I’ve always enjoyed eating at Soup Spoon as their soup is really tasty and delicious! One of my favourites is the Tokyo Chicken Stew. The hearty portion, consisting of chicken chunks and mixed vegetables, is a healthy lunch option to keep me satiated throughout the day. The soup is flavourful and the best part is it doesn’t taste MSG loaded. For those who are looking for a complete meal, you may top up to a set which includes a drink and a salad/sandwich/wrap. I chose the Chilled Soba with Teriyaki Chicken salad to match with my Japanese inspired soup. The salad was very refreshing and topped with generous servings of tender Teriyaki Chicken slices. The soba was quite chewy as well.Overall, it was a satisfying meal that never fails to put a smile on my face, great job! continue reading

Some time ago I've went to The Soup Spoon as I was yearning for a warm hearty dinner on a rainy day. The Chef's Special that time around was the tweaked version of clam chowder, which was the Peace, Love & Muscles Chowder. This consists of New Zealand green shelled mussels, sweet potato, russet potato, celery, spinach, fennel and bacon. The ingredients sound delicious but in reality it's not that awesome, consistency needs to be thicker. I would still prefer their regular clam chowder. I also got myself a Fish Taco Wrap with side salad and seriously, it tasted horrible! There was this sour taste to it that irks my appetite and I gave up eating after 2 bites. My friend who tried the same dish at another outlet also experienced the same issue, so this is definitely something that can be taken out from the main menu. Overall, with high hopes come big disappointments. I have not returned to this place for awhile now and will only go back after I rid the fish taco image from my mind. continue reading

The Soup Spoon will always be known to me for having some of the nicest and worst dishes ever. However I am not here to highlight the bad but the good. My sisters and I had dinner at The Soup Spoon and here’s what we had:Chicken Teriyaki with Grilled Pineapple sandwich - One of my favourite sandwiches at The Soup Spoon. It comes with a slice of teriyaki chicken, so suitably salted, pineapple, some greens and a dollop of mayonnaise. I like that the pineapple adds a slight sweetness to the sandwich and evens out the overall taste of the sandwich. My sister had the salad and it looked so colourful, topped with walnuts and dried cranberries. It is a good alternative to those who wants to maintain their waistline but not like having too many vegetables at one seating. It has fruits and this sure adds a different flavour for the salad. We also had the Masala Chicken wrap. But I didn’t get to try much of it. My brief impression of it was it tasted quite okay.We also had soup (not pictured) since we each ordered the Souper Value Meal which comes with a soup, half sandwich/wrap/salad and a drink. I think the Souper Value Meal is really value for money since the soup itself is sufficient to fill oneself up.My only grouse is that the counter seems to be understaffed and so during the peak period, it took some times while waiting to have our orders taken. continue reading
